What you need to do is achieve Maximum Overdrive, to do this you will see blue spheres (achievement picture) scattered throughout levels, just keep collecting these until the achievement unlocks.

Be conservative in your play through the early levels. just use the 
button to fire. Pick up all the power-ups. If you are having difficulty, look for the Overdrive capsules (pictured in the achievement tile):
