Sifu

Kuroki is the third and imo the second hardest boss in the game due to her bladed weapon and very off-tempo moveset . I highly recommend coming into this fight with a weapon to avoid taking "chip damage" on your blocks/parries and to speedup her first phase which imo is harder than her second. As with all bosses: she has 2 phases and you NEED to perform a takedown each time in order to kill her.

Recommended Skills to purchase before this fight are:

1. Head Smash OR Thigh Cut (Useful in both phases, ensure that you bring a blunt weapon if you put points in Head Smash or a bladed weapon if you bought Thigh Cut as they are mutually exclusive to those weapon types)
2. Weapon Catch (Very useful in Phase Two)

Phase 1:

Kuroki will do a sort of flowing slash attack that covers her immediate area: my recommend method is to either wait until she does a combo where her final diagonal slash goes across her body (from the player's perspective this a slash that goes from the right to the left) and then attacking her with ONE combo before backing away.

Ideally what you will want to wait on is a "behind the arm nunchuck" type of move where she charges towards you while swinging her blades. When you see this, get close and immediately spam parry to deal MASSIVE structure damage and protect yourself, recall that without a weapon: you will take a bit of chip damage as a tradeoff here. Once the flurry ends you may be able to once again get ONE combo on her before she starts blocking or retreats.

If you invested into Face Smash or Thigh Cut: use them here to deal some extra damage and then follow up the focus move with a heavy combo.

Phase 2:

Kuroki will now use Kunais and will do 1 of 3 things: Run to melee you, run back to throw kunais at you or begin a dashing combo that ends with her immediately dashing into you

For Melees: You can either run away from her by spamming dodge or try to avoid her moves; her double front-kick is unblockable BUT is punishable if you avoid it successfully.

For kunai throws: if you bought the weapon catch skill: parry right before they hit you to catch one and throw it right back with Y or wait until she begins running towards you again so that you can throw it when she gets close which will stun her and allow you an additional combo). If you do NOT have the skill: avoid all kunai throws instead of parrying.

For dashes: ALWAYS avoid on the flash, when she misses: hit her with a combo and then back up from her.

If you still have a weapon by this phase: burn your focus on the moves specified above to deal wicked damage before they break. Otherwise: I recommend using the eye poke focus move and then following up with ONE heavy combo
