How to unlock the I.Q. Test achievement in Silent Hill 2 HD - Definitive Guide

When you go to start a new game you may notice there is no Extra difficulty for riddles. To unlock the Extra difficulty you'll need to beat the game 3 times, each time on a different riddle difficulty. Once that is done you need to start a new game and put the riddle difficulty on Hard. Even though it doesn't say it on the menu you will be in Extra difficulty, now beat the game again to earn this trophy. You can confirm it by looking at your save file, which displays the difficulty for Action and Riddles. If you are having a hard time solving a particular riddle, please check the links section in the Roadmap.

To get it you need to open the secret difficulty level for riddles and beat the game on it, it’s called Extra riddle mode. To open it you need to beat the game three times at all difficulty levels for riddles: Easy, Normal and Hard. , then start the game on a difficult level of riddles. When saving, it will be clear that we are no longer playing on Hard, but on Extra riddle mode. And it is not random, now always starting on Hard there will be Extra riddle mode.

I advise you to go through the difficulties one by one, that is, first on easy difficulty, then on medium, and then on difficult, because I completed the game three times at all difficulty levels, but not in order (first on easy, then on difficult, and then on normal), and the game didn’t count it for me, and now when I turn on the difficult level of riddles, it remains the same difficult level, and not the extra difficulty level. I'll have to go through the game two more times, so don't make the same mistake I did.
