How to unlock the Blood Donor achievement in Silent Hill Homecoming - Definitive Guide

Scarlet ,,,, Man she can get on your nerves !!

So i will set you up with no gun weapons and half health.

Once you start the fight you have to hack away with (crow bar or axe) at her body. When she gets hacked enough she will drop down and you will get a "X" indicator then "A" so do this and she might get back up or you might have done enough to finish the 1st part of the battle.

This is where my trick comes in, when she is on all fours !! 2nd battle, your health will be low now so ignore her and start running or limping around the room ( stay on the right side of the wall and make your way around the room ) just keep plodding along and she will be scurrying around somewhere but just listen for her to scream then watch your top right corner of screen for a "B" indicator and hit B right on target and you will dodge her then an "X" will appear so do your stuff and repeat this running around and waiting for her to scream and watch for the "B" and well 3 dodges and 3 "x" hits and she's curtains. 50 Gs

I will call this the running in circles method but it works and you can continue playing the game now. Instead of F-ing and blinding LOL..

I love my little solutions so give us a thumbs up if it helped.

10 positive votes... Must be good. When I get to this boss, and if this works, you'll have number 11. I've been reading about this girl and she sounds tough. If this works, I'll be very happy. That first boss was a bit tough!

Well all i had was the axe and i thought there was no way past her until i just ignored her and limped around. I was actually just accepting defeat until i noticed she wasn't tearing me to shreds. Hit that "B" button on time and you'll see what i mean. But enough respect for those who did this without this method.

Well it did not quite work out that way for me, but Scarlet is behind me and that's all that matters. Thumbs up!

PS. I should add that I used the crowbar on the Scarlet's first form. After I pried her back plate off I switched to my knife and used the quick/strong combos. Seemed to work pretty well.

oh. just did it. you have to perform combos on the first phase AND second phase. when combos are done it stops her attacking you. (crowbar for first stage and kniofe for second stage)

I got fed up and used 6 shotgun blasts to the legs to finish the first half of the fight. If you are concerned about ammo, if you follow the recommended guide exactly, shortly after this fight you will be "backtracking" and will have an opportunity to pick up 8 more shotgun shells.

Is there some way to skip the cutscene before you battle her because the most obnoxious part of this battle is having to try to wade through the dialogue as fast as possible?

I'm not sure what you mean by "stay on the right side of the wall". Is there a particular wall I should be aware of? Or are you saying run around the room anti-clockwise with the wall on the right of the screen at all times?

I just want to add some notes to CRISP EATERS solution.

It's possible to easly beat the first phase without taking a single hit, and if you are like me, you are trying to save up as many health items as you can becase you started right away in hard. (Long live challenges)

I highly recomend using the Fire Axe.

Scarlet has 2 main attacks in this first phase:

- Slap

- Shockwave.

Usually when she "slaps", she'll do it once. Stay in the defensive and when she raises a hand, get ready to dodge and counter attack. Keep on the defensive, dodging and counter attacking, hacking away her legs.
Notice I said "usually". She'll sometimes do a double "b*tch slap". When you finish dodging and counter, and you see her hand still up there, get ready to dodge again or you'll eat some backhand for supper.

Much worse is the "shockwave". She'll scream and raise both hands in the hair, then slaming them down knocking you down with blood and that takes a good chunk of your health to boot. As soon as you see this behaviour, start dodging around like mad and I highly recomend rolling away.

Thankfully she doesn't "Shockwave" much.

The second phase is a pain. She's extremely agile and I don't recomend using the pistol or shotgun. Dodge around like mad, only attempting to counter attack AND NEVER RELEASE THE "LOCK ON" BUTTON! This is crucial! The room is very, very dark, and you MUST know when she climbs up. You'll know it when you see Alex staring up.

Once this happens, wait for the scream, press B ONLY when it shows up (you'll be pinned down by Scarlet if you fail. Not fatal if you press the correct button but it's still a pain) and like CRISP said, go for the X.
