This event will occur very late into the game in the Other World Church. Approach the confessional booth and begin the conversation with your father, choose these conversation choices to obtain this achievement:

Y - What did you do?
X - Sounds like you can change.

or you can choose this set:

X - Why should God care?
X - He will.

Either one will net you the achievement.

In the confession booth of the Church choose to forgive Alex's father.
