How to unlock the Time Master achievement in Singularity - Definitive Guide

This isnt all that hard in my opinion, just remember to explore for various items like weapon upgrades. Also use cover to your advantage and find as many health kits as possible.

Tips:
1. Always use the A-69 Valkryie Assault Rifle as your main weapon, it has high firepower and is very accurate
2. Use the Volk S4 Shotgun or the Kasimov SNV-99 Sniper Rifle as your secondary weapon depending on your situation. They both have devastating firepower and the ability to tear lims off.
3. Every time your about to face a boss, have an autocannon ready, this will just kill them in a matter of minutes.
4. When upgrading weapons, always upgrade firepower first.
5. When upgrading E-99 tech, upgrade maximum health, health kit effectiveness and how many health kits you can carry first.
6. Never get to close to your enemies unless using a shotgun.
7. Explore alot
8. If soldiers are attacking the creatures, just leave them until the battle has stopped. This will lower their numbers.
9. I recommend getting rid of the pistol as soon as possible, its not very good
10. The knife is so weak its unbelievable, good thing you don't keep it for long.
11. The seeker is probably the deadliest weapon and the funnest, i would use it whenever i get the chance.
12. Always avoid contact with the reverts (blind ugly things) they are nasty, jsut walk slowly while crouched so they wont hear you.
13. On parts with ticks (small spider like things that blow up) i recommend using deadlock and just running for your life. Just keep firing a deadlock infront of you and they shouldnt catch up to you. They are more deadly than any other creature i think.

Bosses:
Use the assault rifle and shotgun
The giant Zek (blue ogre thing) - When he has his armor on just wait for him to throw barrels, just pick them up with the TMD by pressing the right stick in and throw them back. When the metal is off just spray it with your A-69 Valkryie.
When the little Zeks come just wait for them to get close and blow them away with your Volk S4 Shotgun. After this the bosses weak point will change places, just shoot this part.
When the weak point changes to on his back, wait for him to try to hit you with his stick. When he misses and plants it in the ground, run behind him and shoot it with your shotgun.
Whenever he throws barrels at you just throw them back

Short stratagy: shoot blue part and throw back barrels

Use the autocannon
The Giant Train Monster - This boss looks so cool in my opinion. But he can be anoying to defeat. Just aim for the yellow parts and dodge alot. When he crawls off the train, just run up and down the train until he goes back to his spot. On both ends of this train are spawn points for health packs and ammo, they spawn quite alot during the fight. When he looks like he is going to try and eat you, just shoot his mouth. After you have done this the carrige will fall and you can proceed through another train cart. But watch out for ticks, i just fired a deadlock there and ran for it (hold right stick in for deadlock) When running through, the boss will rip the roof off, just spray his head with the autocannon till he falls. After you have knocked him off proceed to the end and use the electric thing that you built the train with. Just aim it at his head and the boss will eventually die.

All of the game is pretty straight forward, just avoid fights were you can, use cover and explore alot.

Near the end of the game you will get you will get a TMD upgrade called uber impulse. It does not drain any energy and kills anything in your path. This is your oppurtunity to let it all out and spam enemies with impulse. I just ran through the last part of the game using uber impulse and just dismembering everything.

*****SPOILERS*****
After you have chose which of the three ending you want:
Rule alone ( kill both men )
Rule with Demichev (Kill Barisov)
Destory singularity (kill Demichev and your self)

The achievement should appear and you can give yourself a big pat on the back

I like your tick strategy, but I wonder if I will miss anything. Sadly I failed to pick up "E99 Tech Geek" during my first play-though, so now I need to do that on hard. The underground part (makeshift morgue) has me nervous, but there are also lots of goodies down there. Oh well. Time will tell. Thanks for the strategies.

As a supplement to your Giant Train Monster strategy, I found that positioning myself in the back left corner of the first flat rail car (right on top of that lone health pack) let me avoid all of its attacks. There were a couple times on my attempts that he opened his mouth, so if you see that and it's orange like the sacs, shoot him to avoid him chewing you, but I think that's the only way you could get hit in the back left.

Also, after the first part of that boss battle, be sure to move up to jump/move to the next train car. I stayed in my back-left position and magically died after finishing that first part on one occasion.

I haven't played this in a while, gonna just restart it.. So for the endings, is there a way to get them all in one playthrough or do you have to do 3 separate playthroughs? Can you pick one, dashboard, then do the other one? That's how SAW is done, extrememly helpfull to not have to redo entire game just for that last achievement.. Also, is there a chapter select in this game? I can't remember. Thanks :)

Eh I was at like 2nd ch. when I started over so it didn't matter.. I got it in a short amt of time, I didn't mind though I thought the game was awesome. When I started the game the 1st time I wasn't a member of TA but it's all good I 100% that game, the MP was a bitch though cuz lack of sessions or enough ppl to fill them.

Kudos to you Caxton thanks for the quick runthrough. I had already beaten the game on normal which may have made it go by faster than it may have been had I not played the game before, but doing so really does make Hard go by SO much faster. On normal difficulty it took me about 2 days of on and off playing to beat it. I beat the game on Hard (without reading notes and worrying about audio logs) is 6 and a half hours. I think I only died 4 or 5 times and twice was dealing with the damn Phase Ticks when you get Deadlock, 2 times against the train monster and one time it was really random that I walked around a corner into 4 Elite Autocannon guys and died. When I reloaded there were only 2, so I don't know why the game threw me a curveball that one time.

For everyone else-Follow his guide and you will survive comfortably. If I could stress a few things- Health, health, health.
Until you get Medic (which makes med-kits more effective) you need as much health and medkits as possible so until you have about Lvl 3 of both Inventory and Heartiness do not spend your hard earned money on anything else. 2- Know the layout of where you're fighting!! I don't know how many times I've saved my own ass from having played the game beforehand and knowing a few things were about to happen so I could prepare myself for them. For example- when you know you have a great deal of Zeks closing in on your position early on in the game after you get the TMD you find yourself in a parking lot of sorts where there is a box that you can use to open up a storage door for a weapon upgrade and ammo. If you dont take the ammo and spawn the Zeks, run back towards the now opened storage space and crouch facing the Zeks; if you crouch-walk backwards into the room they run away, so use this to your advantage and walk in and out of the "garage" to take on the Zeks at your leisure. 3-Scientist is your best friend. I know it seems like such a weird TMD Equipment to use even on hard when you need all the boosts you can get; having more money in the 3rd-5th Chapters of the game really get you that extra boost you need in your Projectile Defense, Melee Defense, Deadlock and Impulse abilities. I wouldn't worry about TMD Ammo if you know where to find the bio-formula (because you get the Uber TMD later in game) but Energized isn't too bad for the first or second level-past that its a waste of funds. As far as the Train monster is concerned- if you upgrade your Valkyrie first (maybe using 1 upgrade on the shotty's damage for the first boss) all the way that is way more effective than the autocannon. Sheer maneuverability alone is worth the effort to try and find weapon upgrades for the Valkyrie over the autocannon. I found myself using the Valkyrie for every situation by the time I upgraded it all the way on both playthroughs, so it is definitely the way to go although autocannons are a great secondary weapon to keep on you. BIGGEST TIP- Don't be afraid to use the TMD! I've had 3 friends come over and play a decent chunk of the game and all of them like me at first seemed way to compelled to conserve as much TMD as possible and use it only in dire situations. Why? It regenerates, once the TMD ammo comes up it is usually grouped with all the rest of the normal items found- once you're supposed to have found the TMD ammo Hero upgrade- they give you 2 ammo clips rather than 1 so please. Feel free to revert people and turn them into dust because- Hey, you're God.

I know this is a lot to say but I felt it necessary to let people know that you can go through it so fast because you know whats to come so just do yourself the service by playing the game twice because it really is a fun sleeper game. Have fun with it because I know I have. I would love to talk with people sometime about what they think about the whole game so if you've beaten it and want to talk theory and possibilities in the game msg me sometime.

On Hard, there are really only two areas that might give you trouble. First, in the Research Facility stage where you get ambushed by the Zeks (Make sure to swap your pistol for something more useful after meeting Kathryn. Use the shotgun and don't get pinned against the door). Second, in the Rail Line stage where you fall throughthe tunnel floor and land in the Phase Ticks lair. (Use your TMD impulse and just sprint to the next checkpoint). Aside from those two spots, Hard is not overly taxing and much like Bioshock, it actually gets easier as you go.

General tips to remember. Never pass by health packs if your health is even slightly below 100%. Very rarely do you cover the same ground twice, so it isn't worth leaving anything behind because you likely wont be back. Later in the game, use the TMD Reversion ability to thin out groups of soldiers before wasting your ammunition on them.

This difficulty is available from the the start. I suggest just playing through the game on this mode, since it's really not too difficult. You'll have times when you'll be replaying the same section until you get it right, and those can be frusterating, but you should eventually get through it. Below are some helpful and pretty obvious tips to follow while playing.

  • Upgrade your AR9 Valkyrie first and then into shotgun. These guns have most ammo.
  • Don't waste your money on buying things that upgrade your E99 usage and vials. Put it to med kits and health instead.
  • When you see a cyro or propane tank laying around, use it as long as you have some distance between you and the enemy.
  • Use Impulse and Deadlock against ticks. Eventually the game will tell you that you can also age which will kill all of the ticks walking around it as well.
  • If an enemy soldier is taking cover, you can still age him through the cover.

Immediately start playing on a high difficulty level. It won't be difficult to beat the game on it. Pay special attention to the E99 Tech Geek trophy as you progress.
