Die to Adam's grasping attack

How to unlock the Weakness achievement in SINNER: Sacrifice for Redemption - Definitive Guide

Hey whats up everybody Lettuce here

- For this achivo it might be hard to actually know when Adam is going to use his grab.
honestly fighting him cautiously you just might not even see him perform the move at any rate.

- when going for this adam ( SHOULD STILL HAVE HIS SWORD AN SHIELD EQUIPPED )

- DONT NOT ATTEMPT THIS WHEN ADAM STARTS USING HIS TWO HANDED SWORD ITS TO LATE BY THEN

- So for to earn this : you must progress the battle until Adam glows ( RED IN BOTH HANDS ). he will stop fighting just long enough to make the change. this is ( BEFORE ) he starts to glow immolation like grubs from gears lol.

- THIS is the correct time period to approach adam. literally once he has done this SIMPLY, VERY CASUALLY run up to him an press ( x ) once.

- IT MITE BE more than once for sum ppl but maximum maybe 2 swings.

- MOST IMPORTANTLY - UNDERSTAND WHEN HE PERFORMS THIS MOVE ON YOU IT DOES GREAT DAMAGE BUT IF YOU FULL HEALTH. well yea it says you must die from the attack !!

- Suggestion take enough damage before you even make the attempt at this.

- he will do the same crit strike you used on him for a separate cheevo.

- i tried the other guys method to let him glow immolation over his whole body. half way mark of his health bar. then he starts to use his two handed-sword. I was not successful at all. IMOP hes twice as lethal at that point an time. i dont think its best to try this at that point in the battle

i let you guys be the judge.

happy hunting.

You get this achievement when Adam attacks you with the critical strike that you need to perform for another achievement, i.e. he will block your attack and then immediately attack you with with a stabbing motion. The achievement unlocked for me in the phase described in this guide (when Adam's gloves were glowing red). However, he later performed this same attack when he was already using the two-handed sword. At least I think so because it was the same motion including the weird movement of my body when he already killed me.

Is it possible he doesn't do this in the "strong" version?

Edit: It is possible, but it is very easy to completely bypass it. I had to dole out just tiny amounts of damage to get him to enter this phase without skipping it.

this is really easy to get if you have shield from cowardly modic. Just get to half health and block and he will break your guard and do the "grasp" move and kill you.

If you don't attack him and just guarding with shield and sword, he will eventually go for shield bash with critical strike. No need to damage him till he going glow. Just run around avoiding his combo and stand still when he goes with shield charge/bash

Adam is the final boss of the game. Access the fight by using the giant floating rock/heart in the middle of the hub. Much of the damage done during this fight happens by parrying Adams melee attacks and counterattacking immediately. The player character will, for the sword and shield weapon, stab into Adam and then yank the sword back out of him. This is almost like a mini-cutscene as it’s a set animation with now way to change/shorten it. If you’ve played dark souls games, this should feel familiar.

The description of this achievement is not clear. The other guides/commenters are correct, the “grasp” move is essentially a riposte just like how the player damages Adam. Here’s how I ended up getting this done:

First, equip the sword and shield. Next, damage Adam a bit. With weakened attack power, I recommend 2-3 parties and ripostes (the critical stab attack).

Then, once you’ve done enough damage (but not too much) allow Adam to change phases. This is exemplified by glowing fists brought about by a generic “powering up” animation. The phase change is triggered by dealing damage to Adam, but so is his weapon switch. Be sure Adam still has his sword and shield out. There were some fights when he wouldn’t change phases until after switching to the large two-handed sword. I was not able to make this work in those attempts so I would recommend retreating/retrying the fight.

Next, ensure that your health is around half or lower. Any higher and he may not kill you with the attack.

Finally, attack Adam outside of the normal parry window. Just start hacking at him. Be careful not to attack during a combo or you may get comboed to death before even getting the attack off. He should perform a parry with his shield and stab forward into you, just like you’ve been doing to him. If the stab or sword removal kills you, that should get you the achievement!

The boss should kill you with a counter blow after parrying your blow.

I achieved some trophies after the end of the campaign in the tests, they all fell out, but this one did not fall on either the 1st or the 15th attempt. Even though everything was correct. I had to start a new game 40 minutes later and knocked it out on the 1st try, I think the armor factor plays a role, since the test is a Persian fully packed. Knock out immediately at the beginning of the battle.
