Infamy tiers in Skull and Bones are basically a measure of how much of a big bastard pirate you are – how many people have heard of you, respect you, fear you. You will progress through these ranks by doing all sorts of stuff – sinking enemy ships, taking on and completing contracts, discovering new areas of the map, and so forth. There are ten Infamy tiers, which are as follows:
1. Outcast
2. Scoundrel
3. Rover
4. Freebooter
5. Buccaneer
6. Brigand
7. Marauder
8. Corsair
9. Cutthroat
10. Kingpin 1
One of the big earners of Infamy are the World Events, which appearn periodically; you have a certain window of time in which to take part in these, and you are alerted to them when they become available. This achievement is best unlocked in a passive way, mind. As you make your way through the list and complete more and more activities in Skull and Bones, you will naturall climb the Infamy ranks. Cutthroat tier, being the penultimate one, will be achieved late on in the game. When you hit this tier, the achievement will unlock.
