This can be done very easily very early, La Bastide is near Sainte-Anne and though it is home of Compagnie Royale it is friendly to sail up to. Simply go there and either interact with it or press the left stick in to use your spy glass to view it and the achievement will pop.

La Bastide is one of the early areas that you come across in Skull and Bones; it’s right near Sainte-Anne, and it’s friendly, meaning you can sail to it without having to fight. In order to unlock this achievement, you only need to view it with your spy glass – by clicking 
and aiming it at the island. When you do, this achievemnt will pop. See the location of La Bastide below, due east of Sainte-Anne.
