For this achievement you need to talk to 20 npcs. whether it be shopkeepers or people you meet. if you really wanted to get this quickly just go to any shopkeeper and talk to them 20 times. i dont see a need for this really as you'll be talking to them alot throughout the game.

This needs to be done with individual NPCs, not same.

This is an easy trophy to unlock, and you probably won’t need to hunt this one down, because you will likely unlock it passively, as you go through the main adventure. Whenever you see an NPC – be they a merchant of some kind, a mission-giver, or whatever – just walk up to them and press 
to interact with them. Once you have done this with twenty different NPCs, this trophy will unlock.
