How to unlock the The Poacher achievement in Skull and Bones - Definitive Guide

For this achievement, youll need to kill 7 differents type of wildlifes. 6 of those are easy to find close to St-Anne and the last one close to the second den of Telok Penjarah in the east Indies.

1 - Hammerhead Shark - Mostly everywhere (Got mine close to Palisade Bay)
2- Hippo - Close to Palisade Bay as well
3- Nile Crocodile - Almost everywhere in the rivers of Rova Hill
4- Madcap Crocodile - In front of the Tamby Foundry on your right theres a little spot in between rock that look like a triangle.
5- Great White shark - In most of the coast but got mine on the coast of the Reef Sea.
6- Alpha Hippo - In the river behind Tanjona Settlement
And now for the last one

7- Saltwater Crocodile - Go to Ruins of Luk Khun north of Telok Penjarah Den and from there go straigh towards Suny Outskirts and youll see some.

Dont forget youll need to switch to your Dhow ship to be able to use spears.

Hope this help. Happy hunting :)

Turns out Siren Crocodile and Madcap count as the same enemy.

The missing enemy not mentioned in this guide is the Bull Hippo. (Left side of Pembe, Africa.) Once I killed this my achievement popped.

All of you are wrong, it goes up in increments of 14% therefor it is 7 different mobs, not 5 like the main post or 6 like the reply…

Thanks Vudix! my reply above was based on what was provided as a guide, after killing Bull Hippo I got the achievement, so in total 7 is correct:

1. Hippo
2. Bull Hippo
3. Nile Crocodile
4. Saltwater Crocodile
5. Madcap Crocodile / Sire Crocodile
6. Hammerhead Shark
7. Great White Shark

Right, that’s spot on. Good try with the guide Dom. It’s the thought that counts. If you could update the solution above with what Drejz posted I think it’ll help a lot of the people getting on for day 1.

This one isn't too tricky, just track the animals you’ve hunted, because it can be tricky remembering which you need. Or, you can just become a killing machine and hunt every animal you see. Regardless, you can check your map at any time (tp.png) and see which animals you’ve encountered.

The way you hunt them down is by using your small ship. Switch to this by docking and interacting with your ship (triangle.png), then scrolling down to the “change ship” option. The small ship allows you to chuck spears at your quarry, by holding l2.png and pulling r2.png.

Starting at Sainte-Anne, you can get the following animals in these locations:

(1) Hammerhead Shark – These are all around the coasts of Sainte-Anne.
(2) Great White Shark – Loads of coasts, but especially around the Open Seas.
(3) Nile Crocodile – In the rivers of Rova Hill, immediately to the west of Sainte-Anne.
(4) Hippopotamus – To the south off the coast of Learnt Men’s Hill, on the the Tenina Coast.
(5) Bull Hippo – These are around Pembe, on the Coast of Africe, to the north-weste.
(6) Madcap Crocodile – To the left of the Tamby Foundry, which lies west of Sainte-Anne, near Rova Hill.
(7) Saltwater Crocodile – North of the north of Telok Penjarah Den, in the East Indies, in an inland cove.

All necessary animals:
•Hippopotamus (narrow straits in Africa)
•Nile crocodile (narrow straits in Africa)
•Saltwater crocodile (narrow straits of India)
•Great White Shark (open sea, almost every outpost)
•Hammerhead Shark ((open sea, almost every outpost)
•BEHEMOTH-ALPHA-MALE (Africa, "Lake of Storms" area, just north of the "Cave of Elders" outpost)
•DAREDEVIL CROCODILE (Scarlet Island, Rova Hill area, northeast of Sacred Tree outpost)
Zoom in on the map as much as possible, and animal icons appear. When you hover over an icon, they are all labeled, so there shouldn't be any problems.
The last two beasts are something like bosses. It is better to go with a spear pumped to the maximum, then you can kill them in 4 hits.
