Credit goes to MeonOne for the image. There are 28 open world events, 17 of which are drug busts (aka security cameras) and will appear on your map once you complete the date with Not Ping. The other 11 are broken down into 3 categories:
Shoplifters (yellow)
Junk in the Trunk (orange)
Hit and run (red)

The most important thing to note is that the shoplift events happen at different times of the day, so if you are missing an event, hang out by the one of the 4 yellow markers so that the time of day changes (you will see the shadows shift).

For those who are having troubles, I wanted to mention I had to do a few of these twice. I saved the doctor tech person twice, as well as one other..forgot which one. but don't trust that it saved it, go back and look again if the achievement hasn't popped.

Thanks. I have 5 events lefts. I know where one is, as its taking on 18K with poisoned blades. So that leaves 4 to do. Will use this tonight as I plan on finishing off the game soon.

Do these start appearing at a certain point in the story because the only events that have appeared for me are the shoplifters, ive visited every other location for the hit & runs & junk in the trunk at several different times of day & even approched the location in car & on foot & not a single 1 has appeared, is there something im missing to get them to show up?

Ok....a tip, it was night time, and I was going for the Gold on Gambler in Kennedy, so just for the heck of it, after I lost and reloaded, I decided to check for Shoplifters (yellow) #1 and #2, nothing was there, so I went to do a few more cock fights, after, I lost and reloaded, I thought, why don't I try sleeping in the bed to advance time.......so I went back, #1 didn't show up, but #2 did.......so long story short......sleep at your apt. to advance between day and night to find these events on the map

I had a lot of problems finding the last one. It was the one in central shoplifter event. It only showed during the day.

Greetings! I passed the game on Series S and this achievement will not fall out. According to the video guide, he kicked a couple of rowdies out of the shops and pulled them out of the trunks. I've done everything:

30 tasks of triads
18 races and two more after a date with Fat's daughter
4 cases
38 favors
28 investigations

What I did and didn't help:
Reinstalled the game
Demolished saves from the console, followed by downloading from the cloud
I've been through all the fight clubs several times

There are 11 open world events that only show on the map when your in a reasonable distance.
I have attached an link which was posted on YouTube 2 years ago that still works for the new Xbox One version.

If someone is missing one event for this cheevo like me, check the shoplifter event in central, as mentioned in other placed has be during day (i was there around 11:00-12:00) and it triggered.
