How to unlock the The Collector II achievement in Slender: The Arrival - Definitive Guide

Slender: The ArrivalThe Collector IIThe The Collector II achievement in Slender: The Arrival worth 331 pointsFind all scrapbook items

This achievement requires you to find all 60 collectible scrapbook items found throughout the Slender: The Arrival (2023) update. These come in the form of numbered pages, journal entries, photos, manuals, brochures, and other pieces of information on paper. They serve as a means of world building in slowly unraveling the mystery behind the Slender Man urban legend and giving further context to the story, characters, and the player environment. In the original 2014 release of the game, there were only 50 total scrapbook items. Those original 50 items can still be generally found in their same locations. In fact, D A Game Guide's walkthrough of those 50 collectibles can still be used to find the first 50 of 60 scrapbook items you’ll need for this achievement.

Note: You do NOT have to pick up all 60 collectibles within a single playthrough to unlock this achievement. You are free to mop up any you missed by using the "Chapter Selection" option from the main menu. Collectibles will always respawn after starting a new playthrough even if you picked them up already. To check the total collectibles you currently have, select "Extras" from the main menu.

Unlike the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game, the Slender: The Arrival (2023) update for the Xbox Series X|S now contains 60 total collectible scrapbook items instead of the original 50. The 10 extra scrapbook items can be found in the newly added Extended Chapter: ‘Nightmare’. This new chapter can be selected at the main menu once it has been unlocked by interacting with a notebook found in a newly added location during the main story.

Extended Chapter: Nightmare
To unlock the Nightmare chapter, you must first complete the ‘Into the Abyss’ chapter of the game. Leave the lift and head into the woods. Go past Charlie’s teddy bear that leads to the optional ‘Memories’ chapter, and then make a hard right up the hill. Follow the hill up until you see the #10 page collectible on a post. To the right of that is a new building that was not there in the original game. Enter the building, walk toward the desk ahead, and then interact with the notebook inside the bin to be taken to the new Extended Chapter called: ‘Nightmare’. It is in this section where you can find the other 10 required collectibles.

Note: If you've already beaten the game, you can get to the location of the ‘Nightmare’ chapter quicker by selecting the ‘Flashback’ chapter from the chapter select menu, then following the directions above.

‘Nightmare’ Scrapbook Item Locations
1. Patient Intake Form: After you wake up in the hospital, it’s to your immediate left on the desk.

2. Daily News article: Find the keys somewhere in the room you started in, then unlock the door. Go forward a bit and you’ll find this to your left on some chairs.

3. Toxicology Notes: Head forward and go through the door to the left. Turn right and up ahead you can enter Dr. James Anderson’s office. It will be on the front desk next to the computer.

4. ATTN: ALL EMPLOYEES: Exit the office, turn left, go straight, then go through the door on your right. You’ll come to the Operating Room C. Enter it, and you’ll find it on the operating bed.

5. Letter to Bryan: After seeing a young boy in red lights, open the door to the left, go straight and turn left into an area of 6 office cubicles before you. Still facing forward, it’s on the desk of the cubicle in the far right corner.

6. April 4th Letter: After finding the flashlight and being locked into a room with “HIM’ written on the walls, exit the red room with a black body bag and to your immediate left, you’ll find it on the desk.

7. A haiku by Dave: After witnessing the body bag levitate, you'll eventually come to a Seminar Room and Teaching Lab on your left. It's on one of the student’s broken desks (far left middle one).

8. Team Letter: While still inside the Seminar Room and Teaching Lab, it can be found on the teacher’s podium.

9. Door alarm: After dropping down into the main lobby, attempt to leave the building by going through the Exit doors. They will slam shut and the alarm will go off. Go inside the Security Office and you'll find it inside the waste bin. It will be to the very right of the Door Alarm button you need to press in order to continue.

10. Staff Letter: After being locked inside a large pitch black room with Slender Man, go up the stairs to the balcony outside. It will be to your immediate right on a table.

Looks like your comments came up prematurely. What you saw was my original solution from October 17th of which I removed due to expiration of information. The Nightmare Chapter was not yet made available if you played the game before October 18th like I did. The update patch for the game came out around 12 hours after the game was available in some regions. I've since had the mods reinstall my original solution while I already had the updated information prepared to edit in since yesterday to better explain the requirements of the achievement. Cheers either way. toast

I possibly have a solution for this achievement to pop that worked for me. First, let me say that it's a bummer but you'll probably have to reset your game data. I got all the numbered letters and all scrapbook items and neither of the achievements popped. I waited a few days to see if it was delayed, no luck. The game itself doesn't have a delete data option, so this is what I did.
*Note, this does not delete your achievements and I recommend getting all the other achievements first because this will reset all your game progress

-I went to my games and apps, hover over the game then press the pause button on your controller. You should then see a little option menu. Press on "Manage games and add-ons". Go down and click on your saved data. Press on your name and 3 options should pop up. You should press on delete everywhere. From there, you will have a clean new game. So just collect everything again, but this should work
Again, it sucks and I'm sorry I couldn't find a more convenient way of getting this to work, but I really wanted those achievements and this is what worked for me

To unlock the new level called "Nightmare", once you finish the Into the abyss level, on the following level make your way past the cuddly bear that unlocks the secret "memories" level and make your way up the hill to your right. At the top you should see a building that upon entering will start the new level

It's all good, man. I'll keep the guide updated once a new collectible video gets uploaded for the 2023 version of the game. I'll edit it in to replace the current useable albeit dated one. But it may take some time until a quality video is uploaded. I'll be staying tuned in.

There are a total of 52 collectibles in Slender: The Arrival. The majority of the collectibles are in plain sight, but some are very well hidden. The lack of numbered tracking can make this difficult to come back to should you miss any, so I suggest following the video below as you progress through the game in order to obtain all collectibles in one run.
