How to unlock the Smoke, Fire, and Mirrors achievement in Slime Rancher - Definitive Guide

NOTE: you'll have to go through the Indigo Quarry to get to the Glass Desert. The video doesn't show me taking the normal path to the Indigo Quarry. Instead, I use a teleporter that takes me to a cave that is located near the beginning of the Indigo Quarry.

I've recorded a video showing how to get to the Glass Desert, that I will try to get into this solution.


The teleport that I use in the video isn't necessary, it's just for getting there faster. The place the teleporter takes me to, is the Indigo Quarry.

Added by Flatline 1775: you don't have to go through the Indigo Quarry to get to the Ancient Ruins, you can also get there by going through the Moss Blanket. Going through the Indigo Quarry is the way I prefer, though. Also, you'll probably need at least 2 slime keys, in order to get to the Glass Desert.

Hi Fuzion, your video and solution are fine now. All the negative votes came before you uploaded the video, probably from people desperately trying to find the Glass Desert and upset that your (videoless) solution was no help to them. A bit harsh I think, but hopefully the positive votes will come flooding in now.

Edit: Looks like it's been cleared up while I was typing.

Just as a note. You don't have to go through Indigo Quarry to get there. You can go through The Moss Blanket too. Both have a door that takes you to the Ancient Ruins.

You should also note that you will need at a minimum, two slime keys to get here. Three if you don't jetpack over the door to either Indigo Quarry or The Moss Blanket.

Otherwise it looks good.

The video doesn't show opening the gate , it's not that difficult to figure out but a not on the slimes people need to bring would be helpful for that first part.
