How to unlock the Apex Hyoki Legend achievement in Slitterhead - Definitive Guide

This is not really a complete guide, but more of a general advice, for those who have difficulties with this Nightmare mode. My apologies for any possible comprehension problems, I am french, I use Google Translate to write this text.

As you have probably already realized, the main difficulty will be in the different situations, rooms, arenas, which contain several enemies at once.

The solution will be to use ranged attacks as much as possible, and to favor characters who have the ability to regenerate on their own when you do not use them.

Julee's shurikens which slow down enemies, Anita's poisoned spikes, Blake's machine gun, and Doni's spear, will be your best allies.

To dispatch a Slitterhead quickly, the Julee - Blake combo will be very interesting. Completely empty Blake's life bar with the machine gun in the Slitterhead's back, then heal him with Julee, to be able to repeat the operation again.

Here, I will use the example of what was the most difficult passage for me, the second phase of the penultimate boss of the game : Nurse Lisa. At this point, you have to deal with the boss, the curse she sends you asking you to hurry up or you'll die, and a wave of several enemies that hurt a lot.

The Alex (main character for this mission) - and Doni combo is the one that allowed me to get out of the random side of this hot moment. Indeed, Doni's spear, which we underestimated a little at the beginning, fully charged, is the most powerful ranged weapon in the game.

Use Alex's black hole as quickly as possible to regroup the enemies, and send Doni's spear fully charged into the pile. (You can hear it by the sound, it takes several seconds). Repeat the operation until you can finally focus on the boss. If the black hole takes you with the enemies, you can also use Doni's counter-attack shield.

There you go, normally, with all that, you should get through it much more "easily". Don't forget to change characters very often, that's the principle of the game... To succeed in your counters to activate the bullet time regularly... And at the end, when you have to make less than 66 victims in the missions to access the real ending, to be careful to revive as many people as possible - You have some leeway, it's quite permissive, and Julee will obviously be the most useful character to succeed in this.

Edit : Alex Sobecki in the comments section says :

"I would add that as long as you played the entire game in Nightmare up to the normal final boss, you can switch to Easy to replay the missions to get less than 66 civilian deaths and then change it back to Nightmare before doing the true final boss and you'll still get the achievement. Myself and some people at PSNprofiles have confirmed it works."

Bon jeu !:p

Ok thanks for the info, I'll add it. I admit I didn't want to take the risk of trying to see if it was possible 😅
