There are 2 Options, if you are also looking for the Hall of Fame achievement.
The 5 Hall of Famers achievement in WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2009 worth 383 pointsIn Career mode, induct 5 Superstars to the Hall of Fame.
Just Follow This Order: (for being a Hall of Fame)
in the battles for collecting stars [make your two special moves, and two finishers] and with that you will get a 5-star match result.
when you unlock the table match, do this for the titles matches, is by far the quickest match.
EDIT.- Just need to repeat these 4 more times to collect that achievement.

(The year ends after WrestleMania)
The quickest way is beginning the match, go down for the hammer and kick your opponent. [with disqualification ON, in a single match]
There is like thirty-eight battles across the year (with the special events)
PD.- never jump battles, if you have chance to compite for the title wait until the special event comes, do disqualification if you don't want to wait.

- International Championship
- W Tag Team Championship
- Cruiserweight Championship

I have to say that this is one of the more messed up achievements in the game. I was playing for the 5 hall of famers achievement, figuring that I would wait until Wrestlemania to pop the achievement. WM came and went, and then I figured that maybe it was all in one sitting. After winning every title, just did title matches until a whole year passed, no achievement. I'll do this way, but it seems that this shouldn't be such a difficult achievement.

To make this achievement easier and not so frustrating. I seen someone's comment on another guide and it actually worked 100%. This is if you're just going for the "A year in the life" achievement. I'm accrediting this all to Gendral II for saying this actually worked.
So here's how you want to do it:
•First go to game mode and career mode than choose new with default rosters.
•Second, when you choose your character choose Beth Pheonix.
•Once she is chosen just click on Maria to fight then in a singles match.
•For the settings you'll be wanting to have Entrances (OFF) and DQ (ON) also have Ring Out (ON).
•After that just start the match then walk outside the ring and grab the sledgehammer then once you have it just go back in the ring and hit Maria with the sledgehammer and DQ. If you get use to it you can do a match in 10-15 seconds.
•There will be exactly 66 matches you have to do doing this method over and over again. Just keep doing this and it'll take about a hour.
•Once you reach WrestleMania while doing this method and once the little stat thing comes up and brings you back to the jet lounge area the achievement will pop.

A very simple way to complete this achievement is the following:
- Choose your superstar.
- Select the first path you'd like to take (US, Intercontinental, ECW etc).
- Select the first opponent.
- Set up a normal singles match with DQ on.
- When the match starts, exit the ring and grab any weapon and proceed to attack the opponent.
- This will cause a DQ and no stars will be attained, however the week has continued and been completed.
- Repeat this routine as long as it takes to get through the year.
- Sometimes it can be a little over a year worth of matches, for me it unlocked after about 60 weeks rather than 55 weeks.
You should now unlock this achievement!
