How to unlock the Searing Steal achievement in SMITE - Definitive Guide
Disclaimer : You have to play Conquest for this achievement as it is the only game mode that features the Fire Giant.
Searing Pain is Ra's ultimate skill, it deals a huge chunk of damage. The achievement itself isn't complicated but requires luck and good timing so you'll just have to keep playing the same game mode with the same God over and over again in order to ear it.
The FG spawns at 10 minutes and respawns every 5 minutes after being killed.
In order for the kill to register as a steal, you need the enemy team to have dealt at least more than 50% of the FG health (e.g. you cannot have your team engaging the FG, getting it to 40% HP, get all killed except you, then steal it from your opponents).
Item building
Book of Toth → Shoes of the Magi → Chrono's Pendant → Obsidian Mind → Rod of Tahuti → Spear of Desolation → Potion of Magical Might (buy it whenever you want) → Elixir of Power
In game, you should focus on the following points:
Early game (0 - 15 minutes)
Stay on the same lane and just farm xp and gold for as long as possible. You also should get some jungle camps.
Mid & late game (15 minutes onwards)
Always have a ward placed in the FG pit from 15' onwards. You also should ward around it so you know when the enemy team is on its way to make an attempt for it.
Use a lot of wards as soon as possible; they aren't expensive.
Have a ward on your side of the map so you can teleport there if you see the enemy team engaging it. (credits to North Kai2 )
Try not to commit too much in teamfights and even let your whole team die if necessary; only you need to be alive to steal the objective.
The enemy team will often be confident enough to start the Fire Giant when your whole team has been wiped out, has recalled to base or has two or more members on the opposite side of the map.
Ideally, you should be losing the game rather than stomping your opponents.
When going for an attempt, try not to be seen by the enemy team: they could either disengage from the FG or attack you.
Watch out for the portal demon, if it's killed, the enemy team will likely engage on the FG in the next minute.
Note: You can directly see the remaining health of the FG if you get into the pit, though ou shouldn't do that if you are alone.
The time at which you have to press your ult will depend on many factors but for a good farming game, maths is below:

I know that the monster siege counts towards objective steal in the Smite achievements (for fire giant and gold fury steals). Does anyone know if it counts as the Ra achievement too ?

I doubt that but I really don't know.

This achievement is near impossible without boosting. See the Official Boosting Thread for partners.
In order to earn this achievement you must use Ra'a ultimate (searing pain ) on the fire giant killing it and stealing it from the enemy team. This means that the enemy team must do the majority of damage to the fire giant and then you as Ra come in and steal the kill with his ultimate. It is possible to earn this in game with the use of wards and careful waiting around fire giant although it is highly unlikely you will successfully be able to pull this off.
