How to unlock the Halfway Hero achievement in Snake Pass - Definitive Guide

To earn this achievement, you need to collect 50% of the games collectibles.
Now there are 375 collectibles in the game: 300 wisps and 75 coins. So to earn this achievement, you need to collect 188 of these.
My advice would be to play through the game normally and only go for wisps and coins you think you can get without too much frustration. Once you complete the game, you will unlock snake vision, which will allow you to see all the collectibles on the map when you press the right stick in, and you will be a lot more familiar with the controls so you can get the collectibles on the easier levels with no issues.
Just a note however, the achievement seems to be a bit buggy, like a lot of the other ones in the game. I unlocked this after collecting almost 300 collectibles, which is roughly 80%, so be patient as it will unlock eventually.

So I'm fairly certain the collectibles aren't actually buggy, but the description is misleading. It should say "collect 50% of the coins and 50% of the wisps." I noticed on my 20% achievement I had over 75 collectibles total, but I noticed I had 14 coins and something like 70 wisps. I went back to an old level and got 1 more coin and finished the level and it unlocked, so I actually needed 15 coins, which is 20% of coins.

I believe GarboMan is correct. It appears you need both 150 wisps and 38 coins to unlock this achievement. 50% of 300 and 50% of 75 as opposed to any 50% of 375.

In the entire game there are 75 coins (5 per level), so 50% of that is 38* (7 and a half levels)
*it's actually 37.5... but as you can't get a half coin it'll have to round up to 38
It's probably unlikely you would get this naturally playing through without trying to get the collectables, so you will have to make some effort to find a few coins and wisps. There is also a secret achievements for 100% collection, so you may want to aim to do this by the time you've got halfway through the 3rd level.
