How to unlock the End of the 'lein' achievement in Sniper Elite 3 - Definitive Guide

The Achievement is located in Mission 3 called "Halfaya Pass". You have to find 2 letters, so that the General appear at the North Artillery. The first letter is on the ground floor in the House with the first Sniper Nest on the Rooftop.
It is important that always pick up this Letter as first! The second Letter is on the Roof at the last right House in the second Area after the first Artillery. The General spawns alway at the north Artillery. Identify the General and kill him.

Note: If you destroy the artillery at that spot, the General will NOT SPAWN.
You'll have to revert to an earlier save or restart the mission.

For me, the general did not spawned. Got the letters in order, but did not spawned. Did not destory the cannon in that area even. Reloaded saves, an nothing. Will be stuck replaying the misson

Spawned now. Had to repeat the whole mission. Ended up speeding run through it

This achievement takes place on Mission 3: Halfaya Pass.

During this mission, you must first collect 2 pieces of Intel, and then assassinate the General at the final artillery location.

The video below shows the location of the intel, and General, along with the best method to assassinate him.

During Mission 3: Halfaya Pass, you will have to collect 2 pieces of Intel, and then progress to the end of the level. Once there, take out your binoculars and mark the officer to the right hand side of the artillery. At this point, you will get the optional objective to "Assassinate General Hoesslein". Switch to your rifle and shoot him in order to complete the objective and unlock the achievement.
