How to unlock the Threat assessment achievement in Sniper Elite 3 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is unclear about what exactly it expects from you, but it's actually pretty simple. When you reach the area where the target appears, simply tag him with your binoculars and quickly exit the area. As soon as the cutscene begins where the target stands and heads for his car, it is too late to get this achievement.

I recommend the sniper nest labeled "higher elevation" on your left when you first enter this area, since it's closer to the exit. The achievement should unlock as soon as the game loads the next area.

Just to add and hopefully doesn't happen to others but it took several attempts of killing or leaving the area before this popped. So keep trying until it does then the others will pop straight away as well

I tried this 3-4 times and it didn't pop, then I tried the bell achievement and they both popped. Think that's what the above comment is trying to say. So if it doesn't pop just try one of the other achievements, don't keep trying the same one over and over.

For me, I tagged the target then shortly after I shot the church bell above him which then gave me the achievement.
I'm sure it involves tagging him then killing him in any way.

Just tag and kill him and it will unlock.

Just tag him and leave area like it's said in the solution and it will pop the first time.

This is another achievement in this game that is unclear as to exactly what it wants you to do, and exactly what is necessary to unlock it. People have reported unlocking it in a variety of different ways, for different reasons.

To unlock it, play through the level until you come to the Hitler section, tag him using the binoculars, and then kill him in all 7 possible ways (plus the testicle shot) to unlock all the other achievements available in the DLC. Chances are that this achievement may have already unlocked while doing this, but if it hasn't, just take out your binoculars and tag him, and then let him escape which has unlocked it for some. Otherwise, if you were to actually follow the intel within the mission you'd realize that the Hitler in question is not the real Hitler, so if it has yet to unlock, tag him and then leave the area to end the misson and unlock the achievement. As stated, this order of operations is the best as it will let you try all possibilities without the game saving on you after ending the level.
