Great guide, especially the links to each collectable, I'm missing one weapons upgrade and this helping narrow it down.

@Janlachut48 I can confirm no DLC is required to gain this achievement. At the chapter select menu you will be able to see which optional objectives you are missing, then use the guide to complete.

@Hanrec2 i'm glad that i don't have to buy those DLC to get this achievement. However even if i get achievement " Nothing is optional " for completed all the optional objectives it still says 18/22 check my video http://1drv.ms/16Azi8O

@Janlachut 48, watched your video, which looks identical to mine! I had something similar with Titanfall, that was a xbox live issue, check with @XboxSupport2 on twitter they helped me get them unlocked by reloading my profile, doesn't take long. But never needed to do this on the 360, 2 chievos didnt unlock on horizon2 yesterday, when I went on today they had unlocked overnight, think it's all server issues on xbox live.

@J Janlachut48 II know what your are missing. Had the same 18/22 and later found out that I was missing some weapon upgrades. Got those and cheevo popped. So I guess you should recheck your weapon upgrades. This is to anybody who has all collectibles but no cheevo. Checked weapon upgrades.

I have the same problem. Stuck at 96% and got also got the "nothing is optional" achievement. Optional objectives is at 18/22 in the mission status. Not sure hoe to proceed now. Seems to be related to some dlc. Btw thanks for your awesome guide.

Do you have to do this in one playthrough or can you go back and do certain missions?

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I do not like watching some bumblefuck wander around in a YouTube video demanding that I like and subscribe when a simple JPG of the map will do perfectly fine. I could not find any really good maps because everyone wants to do their web 2.0 "interactive app" crap with JavaScript hotspots instead of just putting a plain old dot on the map, so I took the base images and made a set of my own.

In total there are 60 diaries, 22 sniper nests, 20 cards, 15 weapon parts, and 8 longshots. Diaries and cards will always be where they are marked with no exceptions. Longshot targets never move so it does not matter if the entire rest of the map is alerted, if you miss or hit him several times, etc.

Also required for this achievement are completing all of the optional objectives in each mission. I always completed/discovered these by accident while simply completing the primary objectives and searching out collectibles, so you should not have much difficulty getting those done in the course of chasing collectibles around.

Weapon parts are all found by looting enemies, but fortunately, the same enemy always holds these parts. Some enemies are stationary and some are mobile, but their locations will only mean anything if the area is not alerted to you. Once they start dashing around, hiding, and attacking, all bets are off. Fuck knows where your weapon part went.

Rings indicate that there is more information, so read on below the image if you need help.

Mission 1 - Siege of Tobruk

Mission 2 - Gaberoun

Mission 3 - Halfaya Pass

Mission 4 - Fort Rifugio

Mission 5 - Siwa Oasis

Mission 6 - Kasserine Pass

Mission 7 - Pont Du Fahs Airfield

Mission 8 - Ratte Factory

The original source of the plain map images is apparently gryonline.pl. I lifted them from GamePressure.

I always hate trying to load up videos and waiting for someone to fight through enemies or walk across the map or whatever when a simple "go here" will suffice. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one =)

It's a term I somewhat stole from Yahtzee, though he says "bumblecunt" which sounds decidedly British.

Thanks for taking the time to make this guide. I got all of them in under an hour. I think this one should have more votes.

100% Agree, cannot stand watching some beg play through 30 mins of a level when you can just put dots on a map. +1

Awesome, keep it simple. No rewinding, pausing, and listening to some f-tard giving commentary. Thanks.

To those having a problem with 14/15 I might have a solution. In mission 7 "Airfield", after protecting the LDRG from the snipers nest, the missing part that is located on the sniper that runs up into that guard tower was glitched for me. I searched his body and found nothing the first time. I went back and saved the game, shot the sniper on the ground before he ran up into the tower and he had a weapon part. Hope this helps :)

You also have to beat the last level to get the achievement. My achievement popped during the credits.

I had 14/15 with Fine Crosshair greyed out in my Reticles Menu (also greyed out were Post #2 Heavy, Heavy Duplex, and German 5C Post) - killing the Sniper in Siwa Oasis unlocked Fine Crosshair giving me 15/15 and thus unlocked the achievement when viewing my service record.NOTE: Killing the sniper and dying can despawn the body along with the weapon part so I did a rerun and stealth killed him to avoid the despawn problem HTH

Once again +1 on the video guide.
I thought this one glitched on me because I have all the collectible achievements and this one didn't pop. Checking the list revealed that I'm missing 2 War diaries in the Hunt for Grey Wolf DLC...
Would be lame if this has any influence on the campaign completion. But now I know I also have to collect all the Weapon upgrades as well.
I guess I'll have to replay everything again because I don't know which upgrades I already have...

This achievement will require you to:

  • Complete all 8 campaign missions
  • Find all 125 collectibles (including Weapon Upgrades)
  • Complete all 18 Optional Objectives

For a detailed guide that shows all collectibles available within the game, please CLICK HERE. While playing through the game, it is also important that you complete all optional objectives required during the campaign. Some are extremely straight forward, and some are necessary in order to attain some of the miscellaneous achievements. Whenever a new optional objective is assigned, it will show up in the top left corner of your screen, and you can view it by accessing the pause screen which also shows the map. You can choose to make the optional objectives "active" and most of their positions will be displayed on the map, and also marked with an icon in-game. You are free to revisit any missions at any time to pick up missed collectibles or complete optional objectives.

You can check your progression at the mission select screen, or under Statistics in the Service Record. It will also show individual collectibles sorted by campaign missions, however it will not show weapon upgrades.

While going for this achievement you will also unlock multiple other achievements for getting collectible sets and completing optional objectives.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Glitched Achievement Note: Some players have reported that the achievement has not unlocked even though they have 100% completion according to the menu trackers which will display a percentage that includes the weapon upgrades as well as optional objectives. This issue seems to happen most often for those initially playing in co-op mode as the game does not properly track collectibles between certain players, or players who quit early. At the moment, there is no fix for this, but it is recommended that you either:

  1. Go through the game again, and re-do all collectibles and optional objectives.
  2. Delete your game save, and start over.
