Can be done on easy difficulty, solo or co op. Can also be won on any of the difficulties, but easy is the easiest. Survive all 12 waves and then at the end when Wave 12 Complete pops up the achievement should pop.
On the Village level the toughest enemies are the tanks that show up in two different waves. An earlier wave has one tank, and then the last wave has two tanks. Shoot the driver in the front, and the gunner, then you can sneak up behind the tank and use a satchel charge without fear of being shot at. Another tough enemy is the faust trooper, they have large missile launchers on their backs and they should be taken out first before the normal infantry.
There are 12 waves in total, I was able to do this on easy by myself it is not too difficult especially in co op.

When you die, do you start back at the beginning or at the last wave?

the beginning I believe, but I am unsure exactly. I need to load the game up again to check. If you are having trouble getting it add me ass a friend and we can do it

Here you will be taking on waves of enemies. Also, there will be tanks near the end. This can be done on Cadet making it easier. There are 12 waves for you to complete while protecting your commend post which doesn't matter if you lose it to the Germans, so long as you kill them all and move onto the next wave without dieing you'll be fine. Although you can do this in quick play co-op, this isn't a multiplayer trophy as you can find this in single player. Also, it's far easier to do on Cadet difficulty in single player.

This achievement can be done solo or with others (up to four people total). There are 12 waves in Survival. It is your basic horde-type mode where you must survive until all 12 waves have been completed. You can play on any difficulty, but if you’re just out for the achievement, playing on Cadet is the way to go as it offers the least challenge.
Notes about Survival:
- If playing with others, you can go into a “down by not out” state and be revived by your teammates. If you play solo, once you go down it’s over.
- There is a supply cache that, if successfully defended, you gain extra XP. The enemies’ main objective is to destroy that cache. It is recommended that you do not let the enemy capture the supply cache as it provides you and your teammates with unlimited basic ammo, but does not supply you with anything else, such as medkits, mines, grenades or Panzer ammo. It in a different location every third wave of enemies: Wave 1, 4, 7 and 10. If it is captured, it stays captured until it moves location.
- Also, every few waves there is a vehicle (tank or other armored vehicle). Depending on what difficulty you play on will determine how many vehicles appear. These must be destroyed in order for the wave to end.
