How to unlock the Master of Rifles achievement in Sniper Elite 5 - Definitive Guide

To get a mastery medal you need to headshot 50 enemies with all six rifles over a distance of 100 meters.

So for this I loaded up mission 3 (Spy Academy) on Very Easy so there's no wind or gravity and start at the Beaumont marshland, from there head forwards on the linear path and stop until you see the academy and then make a save and watch for the sniper glints and try hit the snipers in the head, once you kill them then do some work on the soldiers roaming around then once you can't see anymore just reload your save then repeat!

The last mission is also good. You can get about 15 kills per reload. The guards to the right on the terrace are over 100m as well.

You should definitely be doing this on loose ends…mission 9. You can each rifle in less t than 10 minutes

As xxDAMRONxx says, the easiest way is mission 9. Save as soon as you start, ignore the target, start headshot marathon, no more enemies? Reload... got 4 rifles Mastered in 30 mins

If you have DLC weapons, those count towards your 6 of each weapon. I used a mix of base and DLC rifles to get these since I hadn't unlocked all base weapons through the optional officer kill requirements in each level.

Gold Medal on the RSC 1918 can also be achieved without having it unlocked. Start up Mission 9, turn around and pick up the Risc 19 rifle. Once equipped save the game. The weapon only has 4 bullets so make them count. After 4 headshots load your previous safe and repeat. I achieved gold medal in less than 10 mins.

To acquire this achievement you will need to earn 50 headshot kills from over 100 meters with each of the 6 sniper rifles. The best place to farm these kills is at the beginning of mission 3 Spy Academy. As soon as you start the level you will have the option of sniping various people in the area. Once you can't find any more people simply restart the mission and repeat until all 6 rifles have 50 headshot kills from the required distance.

Some rifles are locked and will need to unlocked in the campaign. I have listed all 6 sniper rifles and how to get them below in chronological order:

- M1903 (Unlocked from the start) - 50 headshot kills from 100m or more

- SREM-1 (Unlocked from the start) - 50 headshot kills from 100m or more

- Karabiner 98 (Complete Kill Challenge in Mission 2 (Crush the main target with a chandelier. Sneak into the ballroom by entering a window on the side and wait until the target walks under the chandelier. Use a rifle on the chain and it will fall to kill him) - 50 headshot kills from 100m or more

- Gewehr 1943 (Complete mission 3) - 50 headshot kills from 100m or more

- M1A Carbine (Complete Mission 5) - 50 headshot kills from 100m or more

- RSC 1918 (Complete Kill Challenge in Mission 7. Kill the target with a V2 rocket. Either drop the V2 on the target or knock the target out and place him below the V2.)) - 50 headshot kills from 100m or more

Once all 6 sniper rifles have 50 kills from 100m or more you will unlock this achievement. You can check your progress in the service menu. Go to medals and then weapons/items. Each gold medal mastery will count as 17% on the Xbox achievements. Once all 6 rifles have gold medals, a final 7th medal will be unlocked for mastering all rifles. This is when the achievement will also unlock.

Regarding that Kill Challenge in mission 2 for the Karabiner 98: you can also pacify the target, carry him, drop him on the floor under a chandelier and then shoot the chandelier.

In order to get the six Rifle Mastery Medals, you need to get 50 Headshot from 100 meters away with every rifle in the game.

You are required to perform 50 headshot kills with a distance of over 100 meters for each with each of the rifles listed below. Both unlocked and found rifles progress towards this, but the found rifle must be the ‘vanilla’ version; if it is silenced, scoped or powerful it will not count. Best of luck consistently scoring headshots from 100+ meters away with just iron sights.
 
  • M.1903 - unlocked by default
  • SREM-1 - unlocked by default
  • Karabiner 98 - complete kill challenge in Mission 2, ‘Occupied Residence’
  • Gewehr 1943 - complete Mission 3, ‘Spy Academy’
  • M1A Carbine - complete Mission 5, ‘Festung Guernsey’
  • RSC 1918 - complete kill challenge in Mission 7, ‘Secret Weapons’
Unfortunately, the farming method outlined in the 'Mop Up' section of the roadmap doesn't work for rifles as you need to get a headshot from 100+ meters away. A good spot to farm this is at the beginning of Mission 3, ‘Spy Academy’. Building on the solution in The Long Game (15G), mark as many enemies as you can (about 10-12) then create a save. Using the rifle you need to master, proceed to headshot as many enemies as possible then keep reloading the save until you get 50 headshots. Your results will vary, but I was able to get approximately 5-7 headshots per reload, depending on the rifle.
 
The reason this is a good spot is because it’s at the very beginning of the mission, so you can just keep selecting this mission with the rifle you need to master.
 
To check your progress, press :1menu: then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look under the ‘Master of Rifles’ heading to see your medal progress for each rifle.

You will need 50 kills from over 100 meters with each these weapons:
  • M. 1903
  • K98K (complete kill challenge in mission 2)
  • RSC 1918 (complete kill challenge in mission 7)
  • GEW 43 (complete mission 3)
  • M1A (complete mission 5)
  • SREM-1

All the kills can be farmed with the save/reload feature. Find a good place where you can quickly kill 2-3 enemies this way and make a save. Kill them, reload the save and rinse and repeat.
