How to unlock the Revered with Rifles achievement in Sniper Elite: Resistance - Definitive Guide

Ultimately, the other solutions I found to be cumbersome or require too much setup for too few kills. I experimented with different outcomes, but the easiest and best way seems to be the beginning of lock, stock, and barrels (mission 7), it has 5 stationary enemies and only held back by how fast you can fire your gun to kill them. Very beginning of the level, run forward to the hill and wait for the motorcycle to stop in front of you about 100 m away. At around this time a plane will fly overhead, masking sound. *Make a manual save here* Shoot the enemies in the order I have shown, and none of them move throughout the entire sequence. Reload the save, rinse and repeat. I did all rifles in a under an hour.

As mentioned in the PowerPyx trophy guide, the best mission to grind this out is Mission 4, right at the start. Load into the mission on Civilian difficulty with your weapon of choice, then make a manual save at a preferred location (I recommend the edge of the cliff). From there, start getting headshots on the 8 to 10 enemies around the bridge. Reload your save and repeat until you achieve 50 headshots at 100 meters for all weapons.

Before starting the mission, edit your loadout and select the best zoom scope for each weapon. I believe six of the seven sniper rifles have a 12x zoom scope, except for one.

The weapons you need are:
1. Berthier 1916 – Unlocked from the beginning
2. Lebel Model 1886 – Unlocked from the beginning
3. Lee No. 4 – Unlocked by completing Mission 6: Assault on Fort Rouge
4. Mas 44 – Unlocked by completing Mission 3: Sonderzüge Sabotage
5. M1 Garand – Unlocked by completing the Kill List challenge in Mission 4: Collision Course
6. Nagant M91/30 – Unlocked by completing all three Propaganda Sniping missions
7. ZK-420S – Unlocked by completing the Kill List challenge in Mission 8: End of the Line

This is also a great spot to grind the “Going the Distance” Achievement

Mission 6 Assault on Fort Rouge

We are going to load into mission 6 on the easiest difficulty and begin by taking out the guards and truck closest to us. This is just to clear them out so they don’t aggro on us later. From the start of this mission we can easily grind out XP, Rifle kills, Rifle masteries by focusing on headshots, Distance, and more! Basically from this spot we can see most of the map and as long as our scope zoom is good enough we can hit enemies all the way at the castle on the far back edge of the map. Right here I went ahead and marked all the enemies I could find (After marking the enemies, make a save), around 20 in total, so then we can just start picking them off and on top of that additional enemies may get alerted and come out into the open for some more easy kills. Once we are done here, we can just reload the save and do it all again, or exit and switch out weapons for masteries as everything we do will still count even if we don’t finish the mission.

Rifle Masteries require 50 headshots with each rifle from at least 100m away.

Here is how to unlock every rifle:

  • Berthier 1916 - Unlocked at start of game
  • Lebel Model 1886 - Unlocked at start of game
  • MAS 44 - Unlocked at start of game
  • Lee No.4 - Complete Mission 6: Assault on Fort Rouge
  • M1 Garand - Complete the Mission 4: Collision Course Kill Challenge
  • Mosin-Nagant M91/30 - Complete all Sniping Propaganda Missions (Minimum Bronze rquirement)
  • ZK-420S - Complete the Mission 8: End of the Line Kill Challenge
  • Karabiner 98 - Pre order Bonus, unlocked at start of game
As some of the Rifles are unlocked through Kill Challenges, here is a guide for all Kill Challenges:

Why not make a save after marking everyone and load the save after killing everyone instead of restarting the mission? 😅

There are seven sniper rifles in the game, and yes, like the pistols and secondary weapons, they have Mastery Medals. The seven sniper rilfes are as follows:

  • The Berthier 1916 and Lebel Model 1886 rifles are both available from the off
  • Then, you'll add the Mas 44 to your arsenal for completing Mission 3, ‘Sonderzüge Sabotage
  • The M1 Garand (ah, classic) is yours for carrying out the Kill List challenge (kill Ludwig Spiegl by making him fall from the dam) in Mission 4, ‘Collision Course
  • You'll receive the Lee No. 4 for completing Mission 6, ‘Assault on Fort Rouge
  • The ZK-420S is acquired for scrubbing off the Kill List challenge (kill Gottschalk with a gas explosion) in Mission 8, ‘End of the Line
  • Finally, the Mosin-Nagant M91/30 is unlocked for completing the three sniping Propaganda challenges
To attain the Mastery Medals for all seven sniper rifles, you'll need to get 50 headshots from at least 100 metres away with each one. This shouldn't be too difficult – just keep popping Nazi melons from afar and you'll be golden.

Unfortunately, the farming method outlined in the 'Mop Up' section of the roadmap doesn't work for rifles as you need to get a headshot from 100+ meters away. A good spot to farm this is at the beginning of Mission 4, ‘Collision Course’. Building on the solution in Going the Distance (15G), tag as many enemies as you can (approximately 12-14) then create a save. Using the rifle you need to master, proceed to headshot as many enemies as possible then keep reloading the save until you get 50 headshots. Your results will vary, but I was able to get approximately 5-8 headshots per reload, depending on the rifle.

The reason this is a good spot is because it’s at the very beginning of the mission, so you can just keep selecting this mission with the rifle you need to master.

To check your progress, press button-menu.png then navigate to Service Record > Medals > Weapons and Items and look under the ‘Revered with Rifles’ heading to see your medal progress for each rifle.

Pretty simple to do. All you need is 50 headshot kills over 100 meters on every rifle, my video shows the a way to do it using the Lee NO.4 and that it works. (fyi you can get more headshot then 3, then reload the save I just id 3 as an example)

We go to the 6th task and there from the starting point we kill 4 soldiers in the head from a distance of 100 m or more. The first 2 soldiers are on the roof, it is not a problem to kill them, there is also a sniper in the distance, we kill him too. The 4th soldier is to the right of the doors to the city

The first mission on the minimum difficulty. From the start, take out the binoculars and mark all the enemies you see (there are about 18 of them), save and then start giving out headshots. Kill them all - load the save and play in a circle until you get a medal. As soon as you get a medal, you can safely exit to the menu, mastery of the rifle you are using has been achieved.
We repeat with other rifles.

It is more convenient to do it on the last mission. Right from the start on the left at the railway station 6 are removed (4 near the barrels, 1 on the tower and 1 in front of the depot). On the right 2 snipers, 2 near the house where the workbench is, 2 near the barrel, 2 in the truck. Optionally, more come running. At least 15 per run for 4-5 minutes. Restart the level and repeat. Before starting the cleanup, make a save so that you can load without restarting the mission.
