How to unlock the Pistol Perfectionist achievement in Sniper Elite: Resistance - Definitive Guide

Mission 2 Dead Drop
(At launch this is currently bugged and seems to pop prematurely, otherwise we will need to grind ghost kills with all pistols to earn this)
Load up mission 2 on the easiest difficulty and sneak into the fortress near the back of the map. There should be seven enemies in this area as well as a truck with one driver. We want to quietly knock all of these enemies unconscious with our melee attack. Then pick up their bodies and pile them together in one of the rooms, making sure to create a manual save at this point.
From here we can start grinding pistol masteries and achievements for ghost kills, secondary masteries and achievements, we can also chuck a grenade at them for trap kills (and a triple kill with one grenade for an achievement), pick up any of the weapons they dropped and use those for found weapon kills, and there is even a heavy gun on the box in the courtyard we can use to grind out heavy gun kills. Every time we eliminate the group of enemies we can just reload our save and go again as all of this counts even if we don’t finish the mission.
Pistol Masteries require 50 ghost kills with each pistol.

I got this on an SMG kill and to top it off, the only pistol I had 'mastered' was the Welrod.

This one is currently buggy/glitchy whatever you'd like to call it
I haven't even got double digits with pistol kills and I unlocked it, all I've been getting is the long shot medals and the starting rifle and smg kill medals
No doubt they'll patch this soon so best get on it if you haven't got it

There are 21 weapons you'll need to unlock in Sniper Elite: Resistance, and six of them are pistols.
- The Modele 1935A and Welrod are available from the beginning.
- The Star Ruby is unlocked upon finishing Mission 4.
- The Hi-Power is available after completing Mission 8.
- The Nagant M1895 is acquired by completing the Kill List challenge (kill Philo Beck with a rat bomb) during Mission 2.
- The M1912 is your once you've completed all three Propaganda challenge types – stealth, sniping, and combat.
Mastery of all six pistols then requires you chalk up 50 Ghost Kills with each, so customise your sidearm to your liking (a suppressor is obviously a fine idea), then get cracking with some stealthy undetected kills using your chosen weapon. Doing this from tall grass is a sound strategy, and you'll no doubt reach this by the end of the campaign, if you work through all six pistols.
