How to unlock the Mousetrap Fuse achievement in Sniper Elite V2 - Definitive Guide

You can get this in the tutorial mission as RoccoReiber mentioned but as I was recording anyway I thought I'd make a video guide. This is my first achievement video so any constructive feedback would be appreciated.

After I escaped the tank, I ran into the open, firing wild at the soldiers. Then I sniped onto the fuel tank of the truck and it popped the achievement :)

Don't know why but this isn't working for me. I've killed the guard four times with the trip mine and even had a double kill once. Achievement doesn't unlock.

The enemies have to be openly hostile when they get blown up by the landmine for this achievement to trigger. You'll notice in the video that he throws a rock once at 1:24, waits for a bit, throws another rock at 1:35 and gets spotted which makes the Nazis fire back, then that's when they trigger the tripwire and the achievement.

If you want to do it the easy way, turn off Tutorials in Options and load the Prologue. Simply sprint past these guys and set up the tripwire in the door as they're shooting at you, then just chill out in the second story of the building above your trap until the achievement pops.

Hi

Here is my Guide for this Achievement. The Prolog is good but in Mission 02 you can earn this Achievement faster and quicker :)

Start the Mission and go to the Tower, plant the Trip Mine and the Guard come automaticly to you, go around and see what happend.

If you have a Question, ask me.

PS: Sorry for my English, i´m German ;)

You can easily obtain this trophy in the Prologue. The game requires you to plant a trip mine in a doorway before allowing you to proceed.

After shooting your target you must leave the building you are in and head back to the street where you planted the trip mine. When you see the truck pull up, shoot it's gas cap so you can snag a couple of quick kills. Wait about 10 seconds and you will hear an explosion. Some poor chum just walked into that trip mine that you set earlier! Enjoy your trophy!

This is unlocked by an enemy soldier advancing to assault your position and running into a trip mine that you have set. Trip Mines are very handy for placing across doorways or at the top/bottom of stairways to make sure you are not flanked whilst you are sniping. You should be using them often in the game. There is an easy opportunity to get this trophy in the first chapter, shown in this video:

The easiest way to do it is in rooms where fascists walk - just put a tripwire on the floor, lure it out with a stone and the trophy is yours.

If you lure a Fritz with a stone, they don’t give you a trophy!!!! given after I caught the eye of a German and disappeared (after me there was a white shadow of my last location where I was seen), the fascist moved there and there was a tripwire, only after that the trophy fell out!!!
