The best place to this is on chapter 9, A Simple Rendezvous, play it on easy of course. Follow the way points try not to get spotted although it doesn't matter if you do. Within 5 minutes of starting the level a way point will lead you to a Browning machine gun on some sand bags, press X to get on it and starting pick guys off, until the achievement pops. If it doesn't finish the level just to be safe and start it again. If someone would like to confirm if the kills still count if you reload a checkpoint please leave it in the comments.
NOTE: The Browning on the mission The Hunt Is On, DOES NOT count for this achievement I am not sure why but it doesn't.

Yes, it does count I got my last 4 kills on it. Something might be buggy with your game because my buddy and I got our achievement on that gun.

I got the same result as WoundsOfDeath; completed the campaign on Hard and replayed A Simple Rendezvous on Easy and unlocked the achievement.

this game is so buggy i did mission 8( on hard) like 5 times and my achievo still didnt unlock does it have to be done on easy to unlock?

Like someone mentioned before, the achievements in this game are EXTREMELY buggy. I just went through the driving portion of 'The Hunt Is On' not expecting at all to get this achievement based on your solution and BAM! At the end of the driving sequence it unlocks! Perhaps an amendment stating that there is a SLIGHT possibility of unlocking it during 'The Hunt Is On' is in order?

I couldn't get the achievement in "A Simple Rendezvous" no matter how often I reloaded the checkpoint. Then in "The End is Near" I got it after the I killed the first guy.

I got this at The Hunt is On as well. The previous chapter where you spot the bad guy leaving in the vehicle also has a turret you can use for this. You get about 8 kills with it there.

Can totally be done on the level "The Hunt Is On"--ran through the game once on Hard, replayed this level on Easy, and got the achievement after only a couple kills!

Works on the "The Hunt Is On" and the level right before it. Those are the only two levels that I used that gun on and the achievement popped. I was playing on the Hard difficulty.
With that said, this game has so many glitchy achievements that it doesn't surprise me that it down't work for some people....

You should be able to get this well before The Hunt Is On, there are a fair few opportunities to get it before that mission - of course if you are playing on an easier difficulty.
