As soon as you start playing, press

Select 'Quit (Save)'.
Click 'Arcade'.
Click 'Continue'.
Hit the boss once or twice to kill it. Note that you'll need to point at the boss with
and use 
to hit the boss. You'll have to kill the two little enemies too before moving up.
When the end game message appears on the screen, this achievement will then pop.
