How to unlock the Play Your Way achievement in SnowRunner - Definitive Guide

You will damage & repair vehicles many times throughout the game (it's often a part of many tasks/side-missions) so this will come naturally. Just mind that repairs made by recovering vehicles to the garage will NOT count towards this trophy.

If you repair the necessary cars on assignments yourself, and not your partners online, then the trophy will already be on the second map.

Repairs carried out by evacuation to a garage do not count.

The trophy includes repairing not only your own cars, but also those found on the maps, including those that cannot be owned, for example, the tractor on the second map of Michigan.
