How to unlock the Western Wind achievement in SnowRunner - Definitive Guide

Not really a guide, but a walkthrough how I do it.
The Taymyr region is my last region to complete in the game. Michigan and Alaska were completely finished, so all upgrades for the Pacific P12 were present at the time of moving to Russia.

The P12 is a really good offroad truck and very capable as one of the few American models to deal with the harsh surroundings of the Russian woodlands, especially with the deep mud.
The P12 has no level restriction, costs 126,600 credits and can be bought in Michigan or Alaskan garages.

I did two main missions in the Drowned Lands region called "Radioactive Fossils" (also granting you one unique cargo which must be picked up from the sunken warehouse in the southern region of Drowned Lands) and "Circle of Cargo". Both can be found in the contracts tab under "VORONOE 12".

While I used a large crane on the truck and the ramped cargo trailer for four pieces in the first part of the mission to deliver it to the railway yard (it got me four of the ten pieces), I only used a small flatbed trailer and a gas tank on the truck itself for the second part of the "Radioactive fossils" mission. After delivery to the factory, there were only four more pieces of cargo left.
The missions were quite straightforward and by delivering the second set of cargoes (2x Cement from the railway station to the saw mill, and 2x Wooden Planks from the saw mill to the factory) in the "Cycle of cargo" mission, the achievement pops.

This is only one way of doing it but works fine.

[edit]
You can, of course, feel free to collect any cargo with other trucks and just hand it over to the Pacific P12 before delivering to the final destination.
If you feel that the P12 is incabable of handling the harsh Russian environments (maybe due to missing upgrades on the truck itself), feel free to use the trucks of your choice for the missions.
Just make sure to hand in the cargo with the P12.
In a retrospective, the fully upgraded P12 is a very capable vehicle later on in the game and can definitely handle Taymyr. Slow movement is the key to success, anyway.

Great solution, but wow was that thing top-heavy and prone to rollover with the crane on it. Definitely tested my patience, and I was glad to be rid of it when the Achievement popped.

Dear HamsterLV.
First of all, thanks for your opinion on the truck. And also for not downvoting on the solution. As initially stated, this was rather a walkthrough than a guide, because there exist a lot of possibilities to achieve the goal.
From the description, it appears to me that you’re only using a stock P12 without any upgrades. In that respect, I totally agree with you that it’s hardly usable and drinks fuel like an alcoholic.
Once the P12 is fully upgraded, however, there is a good chance that the P12 is one of the few American trucks which can handle the harsh environment of Taymyr quite well. Yes, it struggles with deep mud, especially in the southern areas of Drowned Lands, or the southern parts of Quarry, but other than that, it handles pretty well.
I used this truck later on in the game, especially on the really difficult Kola Peninsula maps Imandra and Lake Kovd. A lot of Russian trucks failed me there.
I therefore highly recommend that you return to Alaska and upgrade the P12 before heading to Russia. You won’t regret it.

For anyone else attempting this, ignore HamsterLV - The P12 is a more than a capable truck to hand drowned lands in Taymr with only a few small upgrades.

Another way to do this was to use another truck to collect the cargo then just drive the P12 to the drop destinations then winch the truck that's carrying the cargo then just drive the P12 into the yellow box . Less hassle trying to steady the big heavy trailer on the p12 as you have little frame add ons

Here are a couple of options if you have done all contracts and tasks in Russia. The contests Cement delivery (4 cement) at Zimnegorsk garage and Fuel restock (3 fuel) at Quarry fuel station. First off, spawn in Drowned lands, grab a normal trailer that can hold 4 cargo, go to the railway and grab 4 cements. Drive the long (but easy) road to the Zimnegorsk garage. Activate the cement contest and deliver (takes less than 20 sec). Sell off the trailer, equip the high saddle and grab a heavy duty lowboy. Drive to the fuel station in Quarry (easy trip), grab 3 fuel and activate the contest. The route to the service hub is easy and you only have to drive back once and repeat. Voila, 10 cargo delivered. Sell the trailer at the trailer store in the hub. Done.

I am sorry, but this guide is pretty awful. P12 is the worst truck I have tried so far and I have tried a third of all vehicles. It is huge, so you constantly get stuck even on wide spaces. It is super heavy, you drown even in the smalest amount of mud. It is slow and underpowered, this piece of junk can not pull itself up a small dirt road even with best tires and second best engine equipped! It is high and has a very high center of gravity, so this stupid excuse of a vehicle falls on its side at the slightest chance! Truly awful piece of useless junk! It is only 'capable' of drinking its gas tank in few minutes and suck in all and every aspect!
Your best bet is to haul cargo up to delivery point with a good truck (Tayga 6436 for example) then unhook trailer and deliver with this awful, awful paperweight!
Also do not take crane with you to do "Radioactive Fossils", you can load the cargo straight into your truck or trailer, I made a mistake of listening to this "guide" and it cost me a lot of time and nerves.
I did not down vote, but IMO this "guide" is only good to let you know that radioactive cargo is unique (needed for another achievement).

This vehicle is one capable beast of a truck. Just equip some serious mud tires & you're all good. You will need to buy it yourself and it's not exactly one of the cheapest trucks, but it's worth the money & it will be useful on many occasions later on.

Mind that 10 cargoes are literally what it means; size does not matter, so if you deliver 4 small cargoes that take 1 slot & 1 big cargo that fills the entire trailer with 4 slots, that will still count as 5 cargoes delivered overall.

A similar task as " What's a mile? / How much is a mile? "
Choose any car that can haul a lot of cargo. On Taimyr there is a task to deliver 5 boards to the railway platform. You throw all the boards onto a normal car, and drive P12 straight to the railway platform. Deliver the cargo, transfer 1 unit to P12 and hand it over, and do this in a circle. That is, in 1 trip you must complete 5 deliveries of cargo. The main thing for you is to hand over the goods with P12, and what you will deliver on does not matter!

The simplest competition and faster than everything else is the competition at the garage in Zimnegorsk. Before taking it, we take 4 pieces of cement from the garage in the Swamp location, go to the Zimnegorsk garage, start the competition and finish it right away, since the finishing point is nearby, in the same garage, then we sell the trailer, move the car to the garage in the Swamp and do this 2 more times.
