Soccer Story

Hypothetically this achievement shouldn't be missable if you're actually progressing through the game. However if you're struggling to win your very first match after unlocking your team you are not alone! The game can be pretty tough on medium/normal and there is a difficulty option in the pause menu under options. If you're looking for an easier experience and just enjoy the more puzzling aspect of the game outside of the matches turning it down to easy takes a lot of the challenge out of the matches and might make it more enjoyable for some.

The technical completion requirements are start your first match with the toddlers, score at least 1 goal and be ahead by at least 1 goal at the end of the few minute matchup. If you're in the lead at the end of the match - you win, and the achievement is yours.

If like me you're too prideful to turn the difficulty down just try and score a goal, quit if the Toddlers do and when you do score and get the ball back just pass it back and forth from the goalkeeper to the player. You'll just about double the match time but it's a completely safe way to cheese it if like me you're not that experienced with the game yet.

This can only be done is story mode from the main menu (cannot be done in quick match).

Also, 1 v 1 matches do not count, and this must be done in a standard 5 v 5 match.

You can do this in any friendly or cup match throughout the main game, but your first opportunity is early on after you form your team and play a friendly against the Toddlers FC.

Before the match, set your match difficulty to ‘easy’ in the options menu to give yourself an easier time in getting this, as even on ‘medium’ match difficulty, I found the AI quite challenging.
