It is not necessary for the rest of your party to actually be dead, unconscious is fine. Defeat the final enemy in the combat with one character standing, and the achievement will pop.

I found the easiest way to do this was to fight a combat like normal, get the enemies down to one left, then blast my team to death with friendly fire AoEs before dropping the final enemy with my last character.
Can confirm unconscious is fine, multiple characters of mine were unconscious and not dying/dead when the achievement unlocked.
