How to unlock the Let me see those coins achievement in Solasta: Crown of the Magister - Definitive Guide
This quest is pretty simple, mostly a back and forth between the city centre and the Temple district (if it can be called that, as it's just a couple of doors, at least for now).
SPOILERS FOLLOW.
The part where you get the quest item is super annoying, as you have to unlock a chest and pay a donation increasing in value every time your rogue fails and needs to try again. The rolls are completely random as far as I can tell and there is no modifier from the goddess of luck, despite what the dwarf claims. SAVE before attempting to pick the lock. If it doesn't work after 3 or 4 attempts just reload and retry. In my first attempt I paid up to 50 gold (for a total of 66 gold) and still failed to unlock it. Personally, I'm not paying that wise-ass dwarf more than 10 gold, thank you.
If you have the Knock spell I suspect it can be used instead of paying donations.
The important thing is that the quest item is a usable Longsword +2 which I intend to keep until I find something equal or better for my Paladin. If you have use for that (and it's hard to imagine a party that won't need a +2 weapon so early in the game) I suggest you avoid going near the Scavenger representative until you really have to do so. The reward is substantial, but there is no weapon you can buy with that money that is remotely as powerful as that sword.

The knock spell can be used. I recommend it. You can also turn on unlimited rerolls in the options menu, but with a DC starting at 30, you still won't make it until level 8 or so.
Thanks!
