Go on the easy difficulty to make the drift arrows as big as possible and then start. The drift arrows are easy to stay in on this track when playing on the easy difficulty

I used Sonic with the balance mod

I personally tried a few characters and found that Standard Beat was ideal.

Go to World Tour mode and pick the first Drift Challenge - Downtown Drift

Beat is brilliant as he is quite slow but has amazing handling and is also quite wide giving you more room for error.

It is not too hard but you will need practice. Don't be scared to go fast and don't worry about the time. The most important thing is lining yourself up.

Always come into drift from the opposite way that you are planning to drift. So for example in the tunnel the drift route is left facing so come into the drift from the left lane but obviously turning right and as you change to drift focusing on keeping in the middle!

Finally do this on A class if you do not normally do so as this give you 3 stars too :)

I just want to add to SuperSuperLiam's solution as it is perfect, however I found I couldn't do it with Beat as towards the end of the track the same bit would always make me fail. I then decided to try standard Ulala and I got it on my first try with her. I think her having 1 less speed made it easier for me so try it if you have difficulty using Beat like I did.
