Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Well first of all this achievement doesn't work local. You have to do it online.
You need at least 2 friends to do this achievement. The best case would be that you and one friend has 4 pads and the other friend has 2 pads.
So in main menu press start on all pads and press the guide button on one controller and sign in as guest.
Make this also with the other 2 pads.
now go to private race - xbox live and then invite your friends who have made the same thing with their pads.
now start the race and race till the last lap and than make sure your 4 pads are in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
You needn't finish the race with the other 3 pads. They can be DNF.
You can also unlock with this method the just go to matchmaking instead of private race in the main menu and search for a race and when you are alone in a lobby with 4 pads invite your friends.

This solution is for folks that have the 4 controllers but don't have actual people to get it legit or their friends are not that good to finish on first 4 places

Number of players needed (including you):

• 2 (if one of the participants can double box)
• 3 (if each player has only one console)

Number of controllers per player:

• 4 (if only one console)
• 6 (if you are double boxing)

Important notes:

• Make sure you have your boosting partner(s) added on your 360's friend list.
• If boosting with 3 players total: 2 players will need to sign in with 4 controllers and the remaining one with 2 controllers. Once one of the previous 2 gets the achievement, you can switch the number of controllers you have signed in.
• If boosting with 2 players total: The player double boxing will need to sign in with 4 controllers with the account they want to get the achievement and 2 controllers on the secondary console.
• Ensure you hit on the main menu with all your controllers (this feature will be blocked once you're in lobby).
• Carrier Zone is the map to be used here since it's short and won't change after completing a certain number of laps (which could mess up this method).
• Apparently, difficulty affects speed so would recommend selecting Expert.
• Looks like some Xbox 360 consoles might be unable to connect with folks from other regions so would strongly recommend trying on XBONE or Series S | X.

Step by step:

1. Go to Custom Game > Xbox LIVE > RACE > CARRIER ZONE
2. Once you're in the lobby, invite your friends by pressing then selecting them from your friends list.
3. When the race begins, the player going for the achievement needs to make sure their four controllers are in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. The other player(s) should remain idle.
4. You only need to finish the race with one controller (main account).
5. Before you cross the finish line on the 3rd lap, make sure your other controllers are still in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
6. After crossing the finish line a timer will appear (30 seconds ish), make sure the other player(s) remain idle and that your other controllers are still in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
7. You should get the achievement during or after the results screen.
8. Rinse and repeat for your remaining player(s).

At first, I wasn't sure if this would work but just got it today with my boosting friend Senkei88, he was on one console with 4 controllers and I had one console with 4 controllers and a second console with 2 controllers. We both unlocked it today (08/20/2022).

NOTE: I can help boosting this (can double box to occupy 6 spots total to avoid bots) but you still need to have 4 (working) controllers in your own console – just shoot me a message on Xbox if the latter.

I want to recommend a track where the achievement is done best, be it doing it legit with four players on the couch or boosting online.

My advice is to play the Carrier Zone, the one where you start on a big carrier ship that is in the middle of a warzone.

It has two advantages:

1. The level is short and simple, it is practically a track that is almost formed like a zero. You drive in a circle and that's it. Useful if you want people to help you who are not familiar with the game. This track is the most beginner friendly.

2. No stage transformation. Unlike the first level Ocean View, where the starting position crumbles later, Carrier Zone stays the same all the time. It is good when you want to park all the drivers and make them idle, because a stage transformation has the habit of knocking out drivers off the track. If that happens, they are returned to the track in a different place, which can mess up the placements 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the guy going for the achievement.

Remember: All four controllers of one player must place 1st to 4th for the achievement to unlock, so a stage transformation shuffling drivers around is a hindrance. It happened to me on Ocean View and placing all my controllers ahead again, while the other players can't drive backwards, is bothersome.


All in all, play Carrier Zone, simple to the point that beginners/novices can beat the track, fast to complete due to its small size, and no stage transformation that messes up placements.
