How to unlock the Breaking Ranks achievement in Sonic Colors: Ultimate - Definitive Guide

When you're on the results screen, where it tallies up your score and displays your rank, use Sonic to jump into the rank letter multiple times to break it.

You need to break letters D, C, B, A and S throughout your playthrough for this achievement to unlock.

If you want a guaranteed D rank in the stage, choose Sweet Mountain Act 3, and leave Sonic standing still until it comes up with "Time Up!" on the right side of the screen (after 4 minutes), then finish the stage. You will finish with 0 points that way.

Currently doing this on ps4, I found spamming A+X to stomp repeatedly works consistently for the letters.

This trophy is fairly simple. You just need to smash each letter rank on the Results screen. This does not have to be done all at once and can be spread out through the game. Just jump into the rank enough times and it will break. The ranks are D, C, B, A, and S. After smashing through each one at some point in the game, you will earn this trophy.
