Get An "S" Rank Against Nega-Wisp Armor

How to unlock the Putting A Spin On The Negative achievement in Sonic Colors: Ultimate - Definitive Guide

Nega-Wisp Armor has various different attacks to be aware of utilizing the different wisps throughout the game.
The attacks are:
Cube: Blocks will be placed along the path you are running and you need to navigate through them by side-stepping
Spike: Eggman will shoot spikes at you in quick succession and you need to jump over them (I recommend a light tap of the jump button, otherwise you'll jump into another incoming one)
Laser: basically a game of jump rope that gets faster with each laser shot (I would recommend jumping earlier than you think and when it gets faster, lighter taps but never a double jump)

The first phase, Eggman will only do 1 or 2 of these attacks and then you will be allowed to homing attack him. After you homing attack Eggman each time be sure to boost into him as well! This causes significant extra damage and for a long time I didn't realize you could get in extra damage like this.

The next phase, Eggman will start going behind you instead of being in front and also starts combining the wisp attacks shown above. The possible combinations include:
Cube+Laser: Blocks come down on the path and he will shoot a laser that goes in between the blocks. It's very hard to see where these blocks are going to come down from but once you find a spot that the lasers won't be connected just stay there and don't move.
Cube+Spike: Basically the same as original Cube except individual spikes are shot, so you'll need to side-step in between the blocks and jump over spikes as well.

The final phase, Eggman will go in front of you again and doesn't combine the attacks anymore but the individual wisp attacks will be longer and more difficult. It took me multiple tries but eventually I got it.

Extra tips:
If you want to get the rings he drops after each attack, you can boost and it pretty much always grabs all of them (you should be boosting after each homing attack anyway though)
Super Sonic DOESN'T WORK. I thought I could maybe get an easy S rank by getting 50 rings and turning on Super Sonic but unfortunately this looks to be the only stage that you can't use it...kind of strange.

I hope this helps people, don't get frustrated if it takes multiple tries!

See my game capture below (note: I did not boost after the first hit, so don't base your strategy on the first hit although I still got S rank)

Nega-Wisp Armor is the final boss of the game found in Terminal Velocity. This trophy is not hard, but you just need to keep 2 things in mind. One is that you must not get hit as you collect as many rings as you can, and the second is that after you damage Eggman with the homing attacks, you can boost into him on the track for an extra bit of damage. As long as you do those two things, you should come out with the S rank.
