Do not attempt this until you have unlocked all of the wisps (ie until you unlock the Terminal Velocity Zone); many are inaccessible without certain ones being unlocked. You will have to revisit each level once you've unlocked them all.

Throughout the game, you may find special red rings known as Red Star Rings. Collecting these will grant access to levels in the Game Land area which can be completed in order to obtain Chaos Emeralds. The first 6 areas contain 30 rings each with 5 rings found in every act except for the boss act. You will likely not be able to obtain this until you beat the game because you will need certain wisps to reach some of the Red Star Rings. After encountering each wisp for the first time, they will be unlocked in all levels in the game. Some Red Star Rings can be a pain to find, so here is a playlist of videos I created that features the locations of all 180 Red Star Rings to be found in the game: Sonic Colors Ultimate - All Red Star Rings
