How to unlock the Speedway Master achievement in SONIC FREE RIDERS - Definitive Guide

For this achievement you have to beat Metropolis Speedway Expert Course under 04:50. This is extremly hard to do. Choose the "Potential" gear and the gear part "Fly" to get this. Don't miss any shortcuts.
After the 2 big jumps there is rod shortly after the 90° Curve on the left. Get this and then stretch your right arm out for the next rod.
I hope this helps you. For instruction I made a video. Enjoy it and good luck!

The Potential gear is out of this world, 4:42 first try using it. It’s a massive help.

The time limit on this is just plain unfair! Proof? I was able to complete all the other 15 tracks with the Reserve Tank bike. Usually finished a bunch of seconds under the time limit, sometimes even on my first attempt.

Yet for this one, even with the fly part, grabbing the pole and X jumps I'm still about 5 seconds off. Will have to give the gear a try... Already miss the insanely better controllabilty and jumpability of the bike.

The hardest course.

Make use of the fly-ability. Don't do any faults and use all the shortcuts in the course. There is one good shortcut after the big 180° jump. Rise your hands up to reach the green rod. Later in the course, use the fly-ability to spare much time.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this course is hard. I've only managed 5'05"00 so far, but I was using the Chaos Emeralds gear. I'll change to a gear where I can equip the fly ability and give it another go. Thanks for the guide.

I didn't find this to be all that difficult, despite missing the shortcuts a couple times thanks to Kinect not detecting what I was doing. Maybe it's because I was using the Potential gear...
