For this achievement, it's better to use the motorcycle gear. To do tricks is so much easier.
You have to jump off at the right time and just put your arms down after the jump. Usually you will get an X-Rank.

This become pretty easy when you are able to buy the Gear Part "Jump" (sorry if the name is not the exact one").
When your gear is equipped with this part, you will get a "S" on most of your jumps, and, as Ruki185 wrotes "just put your arms down after the jump".
