How to unlock the Celestial Rain achievement in Sonic Frontiers - Definitive Guide

Starfall occurs at night and happens automatically. You get the achievement at the very moment the (rather beautiful) starfall cutscene occurs, so you don't actually have to do much.

I got this at Ares island, but I hadn't taken down a lot of enemies yet. Your mileage can (and will) vary, but you don't need to focus on this achievement - it'll come naturally.

A starfall is a random event that may occur during night where stars may land on the islands. You can collect these stars to start a slot machine that has a chance to reward you purple coins. 1 star is good for 1 roll on the slot machine, so collect as many as you can for more chances to win more purple coins. This will likely occur naturally since it will take time for you to explore and this isn't that rare of an occurrance. Make sure to take full advantage of these by collecting a bunch of stars so that you can try to gain massive amounts of purple coins. This will help in maxing your attributes easily later on.

This is essentially story related. The game operates on day and night cycles, and every three or four night cycles, a starfall (aka meteor shower) will happen automatically. It will be introduced via a quick cutscene, and it will trigger some other bonuses. The first time this happens, this achievement will unlock.

As a point of reference, you'll likely encounter one starfall per island just based on the amount of time it will take you to complete each island.

You could say it's a plot trophy. Periodically, on the map at night (in-game), a starfall begins and all enemies on the map respawn at the same time. It's a random thing, but sooner or later you'll definitely come across it.
