How to unlock the Easy Prey achievement in Sonic Frontiers - Definitive Guide
The description of the achievement is fairly simple, and most of which you will find in the overworld, with some like the Eggrobos, Buzzers and Bomb Buzzers, Crabmeats, Choppers (not too sure if this is required), Moto Bugs, Spiny’s and Grabbers being found in the CyberSpace levels. Also found there are the virtual tanks and helicopters. All of these can be destroyed using the homing attack.
In the overworld, you’ll find the Soldier enemies, which are the basic type you’ll fight. Easily defeatable on the early islands, but do change tactics as the game progresses, to the point you will have to use Cyloop or the dodge attack to get behind them.
Bubbles require the Sonic Boom move in order to rapidly destroy their protective ‘bubbles’.
The Banger can be defeated by a homing attack, but it will chase you down in a desperate attempt to injure you if you use this move. Try to use a Cyloop on it to negate this problem.
The Shell type requires use of Cyloop to remove its protective shell, or alternatively, if it uses its attack by throwing the shell at you, avoid it and take the opportunity to attack it while it’s vulnerable.
On Ares Island, you’ll find some new enemy types, the Spring, Turret and a floating enemy (I don’t know of its name at time of writing).
The Spring is fairly simple to beat. Use a homing attack to bounce off it, then use the B button Stomp to destroy it.
The Turret will try to defend itself when you get close, so either use a Cyloop to get it to uncurl, or just power on through with attacks. Both are effective.
The floating enemy will fly up into the sky, and spawn multiple balls in front of it. Simply homing attack the ones that are green, to reach it. The red and black ones are bombs, and of course will do damage.
On Chaos Island, the Cylcone is added, where it floats in the sky, and will electrify its body to do damage. Simply homing attack it when it’s not electrified, and it’ll go down.
On the same island is the vulture, which will fire on you from the air. Simply parry its attack by using LB/RB, and then when you get the prompt, homing attack it. You’ll then swing from its legs, and when you get the swing prompt, hit A to get on top of it. Once it makes contact with the ground, it dies.
Once you progress to a certain point in the game, you will find yourself trapped within a blob like enemy. You will drown if you don’t destroy it quick enough, and to do so, you must simply Stomp 3 times consecutively. Take too long between stomps however, and you risk drowning.
If like me you struggle to find the last enemy type, look no further than on Ouranos Island, for a pack of what look like cheetah. They should be near the starting area of that particular map. They’ll surround you in a ring of light, and you have to parry them to be able to beat them.
Hopefully that should be all of the enemies covered in the game, and if there’s anything I’ve missed, please let me know in the comments.

The vulture does count, it was my last one. You can also homing attack it without parrying if you are above it.

My last one was the Spring, since I farmed the combo on it but never killed it x)

Here are all of the enemies I encountered as well as how to defeat each without getting frustrated. For completeness, I've included all Guardians as well, which will get you Threats Identified (50G) along the way.
Note that you do NOT need to worry about enemies within stages. Only the open world ones count.

Kronos Island
- Soldier - simple melee does the trick
- Bubble - either use homing attacks and then retreat before it electrifies, or just use flurry from a distance to quickly defeat it
- Wheel - a single homing attack will defeat it but prepare to run because it will kamakazee you
- Shield - do a Cyloop around it and then homing attack it when it's vulnerable
- Asura Guardian - these are quite the pain. After it smashes its "hand" down, sprint up it through the blue rings (avoiding the red ones) to reach the top. There are three pillars up top to destroy. The easiest way is to use flurry from a distance so you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting a laser ring. After destroying one, you'll be launched off. HOWEVER, if you're quick, as soon as you get launched, double jump back toward the top and then boost in mid air to shoot back to the top of this Guardian. Ideally, you can land right back on top of it and avoid having to climb back up each time, but you should at least be able to land somewhere near the top of its "body" which will at least make it a short climb back up
- Squid Guardian - you'll need to jump up onto its tail to initiate this fight, which can be annoying. Head exactly where the Guardian icon is on your map to find a decent location to hop up onto its tail. Once on, boost nonstop and dodge the fireballs it shoots at you (just press or to move back and forth to dodge; don't jump, since that slows you down since boost stops). Once you get close enough to the head, you'll see the targeting pop up indicating you can do homing attacks and hopefully finish this thing off in one cycle
- Tower Guardian - the intended way to destroy these is to wait for them to land and then Cyloop around their base to destroy a layer. You can do this one at a time to lower it farther and farther until you can homing attack the top of it. However, you can avoid that by sprinting up it directly and just homing attacking the top of it to finish it off pretty easily
- Ninja Guardian - this is just a bigger version of the soldiers you fight. Keep your distance and just flurry it and it'll go down fast
- Giganto Guardian - this is the unmissable boss of the island. Refer to The Beginning (30G) for beating it
- Shield Soldiers - these are identical to the standard soldiers in the first island, except when you get close to them they surround themselves in a protective shield. To get rid of the shield, do a Cyloop around it. I found these easiest to just stay away from, jump and flurry attack to kill them before they use their shield
- Laser - these enemies target you from a distance and shoot a laser at you. Simply jump over it and homing attack combo it to finish it easily
- Spring - these just bounce around relatively harmlessly. To beat them, homing attack it and it'll send you in the air. Press then to stomp down and defeat it. Note that you do NOT need to have the Stomp skill unlocked to be able to do this
- Flying - when you approach these enemies, they fly up into the air and release a bunch of aerial mini enemies. You'll need to homing attack your way up, obviously avoiding the red ones, to reach the main one at the top to finish it off
- Rail Chasers - when you approach these enemies, they flee and leave a blue rail in their wake. Hop on it and boost until you reach the enemy and land on top of it. Stand there until the enemy stops moving, then jump and press to destroy it instantly. Note that you do NOT need to have the Stomp skill unlocked to be able to do this
- Strider Guardian - this intimidating Guardian is actually quite easy. It'll send out a bunch of round rails when you approach. Jump on any and just boost around it. Each one you complete will launch you to the next higher one, until you reach the three rails around the Guardian. Again boost around these rails to turn them all blue, avoiding its laser, which doesn't really move around much. If you're quick with boosting, you can turn each rail blue before its laser even reaches you. Once all three are blue, you'll jump to the core on a platform and are free to attack it to damage it. Repeat the above steps as necessary to finish it off
- Shark Guardian - to fight this Guardian, you need to wait for it to go underground. When it pops up, be ready to homing attack its tail to grab on. Now you need to do a series of QTEs that just involve pressing the correct direction. NOTE that you need to press and hold the direction for a second or two for it to count, so don't let go of the direction right away. Also be aware that the game likes to throw a few "down" presses in a row at you with no gap in between when the Shark is airborn, so be prepared to press and hold down for a bit to get the Shark back down to the ground. You'll eventually slow it down to the point where you're able to attack it and damage it. Repeat as necessary to finish it off
- Tank Guardian - this Guardian is annoying. It'll sweep you into the air in a tornado, and you need to avoid it's fire thrusters and lasers and whatnot all while hitting it to end this phase. This doesn't actually damage it, unfortunately, but you need to hit it enough to knock it back to the ground. I found the safest time to hit it is when it does it's faster cyclone attack and it makes you orbit around it. Take a homing shot at each of its sides as you go around it, and be patient so you don't get hit and lose rings. This is probably the most annoying enemy in the game. Once you knock it to the ground, try to finish it off in one cycle so you don't have to repeat the tornado part again
- Sumo Guardian - as you approach these, walls with shoot up around you, boxing you and the Sumo in an arena. This fight is rather easy though: do a Cyloop around it (boosting to do it faster so you don't get hit) and this will stun it. Homing attack it and mash to bounce all around the arena. I believe you need to have the Sumo get knocked into a purple wall to short circuit it, but this always happened naturally for it. Once it hits a wall and shorts out, you can attack it to damage it. You'll need to repeat this at least one more time to finish it off
- Wyvern Guardian - this is the unmissable boss of this island. Refer to Ancient Defiance (30G) for beating it
- Spike soliders - flurry attack from a distance
- Wing enemy - parry its laser and then jump on it with a homing attack. Ride it until it crashes
- Shinobi Guardian - flurry attack from a distance to take it out before it even reaches you
- Fortress Guardian - follow it until it generates a bunch of rails to ride on. Do so, boosting as much as possible, and dodge any fireballs until you get close enough to attack it. You can likely finish it off in a single cycle at this point in the game
- Spider Guardian - first do a Cyloop around each leg when it's on the ground. Once done, homing attack it and you'll be launched into the air. Avoid the spikes as you fall and aim for the blue rings. I'm not sure if it matters how many blue rings you fall through on the way down (I missed a bunch), but when you get to the end you'll finally free the Spider up to take real damage. Use all of your combos and attacks to finish it off
- Excavator Guardian - pretty much the exact same moveset as the Tower, just a bit more. Same exact strategy though
- Knight Guardian - this is the unmissable boss of this island. Refer to Futile Resistance (30G) for more information
- Soldiers - these are just way tankier versions of what you've seen before
- Red Blob - when you attack these, they swallow you up. The only way out and to beat them is to jump and stomp three times. Note that you don't need the Stomp skill to be able to do this
- Little Animals - these things surround you, and you need to parry six times quickly to stun them all, at which point you're free to attack them all and kill them
- Red Pillar Guardian - exact same as Tower and Excavator
- Caterpillar Guardian - these are annoying. You get sucked into a rails bit where you need to collect orbs, but if you get hit your rings fall to the ground and you can't recollect them. Once you collect enough orbs, you're on the ground and on the chase. It'll shoot red orbs at you like crazy. Try to circle around and approach from the side, then do as much damage as you can before the cycle resets
- Ghost Guardian - these are the worst. Get lots of rings before fighting them. All you need to do is Cyloop around each of the four columns it's attached to, but it saps your rings the whole time
- Silver Hammer Guardian - exact same as Red Pillar
- Kunoichi Guardian - this is just a beefed up version of the Ninja Guardian. Keep your distance, flurry, and be ready to parry often
- Master Ninja Guardian - exact same as Kunoichi
To obtain this trophy you must defeat all regular enemy types found in the open zones. Just make sure you defeat any new types you come across and you should obtain this early on the 5th island (Ouranos Island). Here are the enemies and where they can be found:

An important point is that enemies from levels in cyberspace are also taken into account (tank and helicopter on 1-7 as well). All enemies from cyberspace are knocked out easily if you kill all the enemies at levels from 1-1 to 1-7 and some kind of bee at 3-7, the rest are not necessary, there are repetitions. Different subspecies of the same robots on the islands are not taken into account. That is, on the 4th island, only those dogs that need to be defeated with a block are taken into account (they still run circles), on the 3rd island there are some non-birds (you need to block them twice and jump on your back), as well as hurricanes (a cloud of these, the ones that fly and begin to spin around themselves), on the 2nd island there are springs (they are killed only in the red area), flying dudes who leave the line (you can kill them simply by catching up and jumping on them), a turret and at the very beginning there is one that takes off and leaves a bunch of small robots below which we jump to. The first island is a standard robot, a rolling bomb, a guy made of electric balls, and the one under the shell. In principle, these are all enemies.
