Fill your rings to max to get this. If you are having trouble finding enough, you can just Cyloop in circles to get rings to pop out of the ground.

Power Boost is activated any time you have collected 400 rings in the open zone. When you have Power Boost, Sonic boosts faster and has a small electric discharge around his body. Collect rings as you explore, and avoid getting hurt, and you will obtain this easily. You'll likely obtain this naturally as you play through the story.

To activate a Power Boost, you first need to collect enough rings in the open world to max out your capacity, which starts at 400 rings. Once you've maxed it out, you'll get a short cutscene of Sonic with some blue electricity. You're now powered up. Simply hold rt.png like usual to run fast, but with max rings it'll be a Power Boost and unlock this achievement.

There are so many rings throughout the open world and so few enemies that this should happen naturally as you explore and do challenges while working on other achievements.

It's easy to do at the very beginning, as soon as you open the seal. Just pinch and wind in circles, accumulate the maximum number of rings in a minute, and you can activate a powerful boost. It will also come in handy at later stages for quickly moving around locations.
