How to unlock the Unknown Threat achievement in Sonic Frontiers - Definitive Guide

The first guardian you fight is 'Ninja'. This isn't too hard, and you can beat it without getting hit.

Simply spam homing attacks and watch for the arms raising up. Before it strikes, hold cn_LB and cn_RB together to parry, and repeat until destroyed.

You don't have to do it as I've described, but it was fast and I didn't lose the rings I'd just spent 10+ minutes collecting obsessively.

Guardians are the mini boss enemies found throughout the islands. They are marked on the map by red clashing sword icons (the same one in the trophy icon). Each guardian is fought differently, with some having a unique mechanic that must be done in order to expose their weak spot. This trophy will come naturally because guardians must be defeated in order to obtain Portal Gears which are needed to access Portals in order to obtain Emerald Keys to progress the story.
