Got Rank S in all Acts.

How to unlock the Big Bang achievement in Sonic Generations - Definitive Guide

To get this you must earn an S-Rank on every one of the main stages in the game. 9 zones, with 2 acts each, means you need a total of 18. Rival/Boss stages don't count, and neither do Challenge stages. This isn't nearly as difficult as it sounds, as this game is FAR more lenient with S-Ranks than previous Sonic games were.

Basically, all you need to do is get through each stage relatively quickly -- under 6 minutes is generally fast enough -- without dying. You don't need to rush too much, so if there's a section you struggle with, don't be afraid to slow it down a bit to make sure you don't get yourself killed.

Chances are, you'll get a lot of them just playing through the game normally. Not dying is REQUIRED for an S-Rank, but if you die, I recommend you finish the stage anyway if you need to practice. If you've finished the game, you should be able to get most of them within a few tries.

The only stage I personally had trouble with was Rooftop Run Act 1, mostly because of that stupid clock segment near the end of the stage.

Good luck!

collecting rings can help push your scores into the A range if you're having trouble with a particular stage.

protip for the clock segment: jump right on to the big hand, then make sure you're on the top notch (toward the outside of the clock), and just as you're going past the 12:00 point, jump off slightly to the left, and aim toward the center while holding X. presto! clock segment simplified.

use the shield that wipes out the enemies on rooftop as well. There is quite a lot that knock off you momentum.

@Reefer420ATK - No it doesn't mess anything up, but it does for some reason use up one of your lives, meaning once you're at 0, you have to exit to the white space anyway. Strange bit of game design there, seeing as you get infinite continues anyway.

For Rooftop Run Act 1, I recommend Super Sonic as your skill load out. It means that you won't get much of a rings bonus, but it makes the last portions trivial

For Crisis City Act 1, I recommend the lightning shield or the fire shield

To obtain this achievement you just need to obtain an S-rank on each of the 18 stages (9 per act). If you want an S-rank you need around the following times for each section.

The first 2 sections with Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Sky Sanctuary, Speed Highway, City Escape and Seaside Hill you need to finish roughly under 4 minutes without dying and with about 30 rings left. The third section gets ramped up a bit though with Crisis City, Rooftop Run and Planet Wisp. If you want to get an S on these you will need to finish under 5 minutes. Strangely enough though i got an S-Rank on Planet Wisp Act 1 with a time of 8:13.51 so you could give yourselves a buffer there.

The one's i had the most trouble with was Crisis City Act 1 that took a lot of time to get used to. The best thing i can suggest is practice and always look for new routes. And go up in the stage as much as you can the higher you go the faster you get there!

Big Bang - 50G (Original Achievement)

Difficulty: 4/10

To get this Achievement, you must get an S Rank on all 18 Acts in the game.

To get an S Rank, you MUST NOT DIE. That is the main key to this as well as getting to the goal as fast as possible.

I recommend two ways to do this.

1. Go through the levels and get a feel for them. once you know what you're up against, or once you've found enough shortcuts to feel confident, go for it.

2. Believe it or not, I actually got most of my S Ranks while going for my Red Star Rings. I watched SadFaceGaming on Youtube and ran to where they were, getting each Red Star Ring, and pausing the game when I watched to see the next RSR's location. Doing this will force you to move faster than you think your going, and take shortcuts you probably didnt know about, making your S Rank easy. (Just remember to pause between RSR's!)

For this achievement, you need to clear every regular stage (rival battles and boss battles don't count) with an S Rank. To get an S Rank you need a quick time, a lot of rings (to back up your time) and a Perfect Bonus (no deaths). The only stages I had real problems with were Crisis City Act 1 and Rooftop Run Act 1. It would be a wise decision to learn the routes of each stage and see which is quickest.

For this trophy you only need to obtain in S-Rank in all of the main acts of story mode which means you do not have to S-Rank Challenge Acts or Boss/Rival Battles making this intimidating task even easier. Getting S-Rank in this Sonic Game is much easier than other games, what factors into your ranking is:

  • Stage Completion Time
  • Total Rings when you finish

To get an S-Rank you must obtain an A-Rank with a Perfect Stage Bonus which means you also cannot die during the stage. Stage Completion Time holds a much larger factor when getting an A-Rank but don't think that means you can't think of the amount of rings you have either, every bit helps. A good estimate for your A-Rank would be around 50,000 on your score and then if you got the Perfect Stage Bonus it'll bump you up to the S-Rank. If you had trouble obtaining S-Rank during first playing consider waiting to try again when you obtain the skills noted in the roadmap as they will make running through the stages much easier.

When re-selecting previously played stages to replay for your S-Rank keep in mind you don't have to run across the map, you can select any stage and then hit or to shift stages and to switch between Sonics.

The most important tip. Which took me a long time to understand.

To get rank S you need the next level without dying, everything else is not important, don’t count the speed to get rank A. If you suddenly died by falling into the abyss. Then you need to either reach the end of the level or go to the level selection menu. RESTARTING THE LEVEL WILL NOT GIVE PERFECT BONUS

To get S rank, you need to complete the level as quickly as possible without losing a life. In total you need to get 18 S ranks and the trophy is yours

For this trophy, Rank S must be obtained only in story levels, that is, in Test Acts, Rank S is not necessary!!
