Bright Star - 15G (Original Achievement)

To get this Achievement, you must get an S Rank on any level in the game.

To get an S Rank, you MUST NOT DIE. That is the main key to this as well as getting to the goal as fast as possible.

I recommend two ways to do this.

1. Go through the levels and get a feel for them. once you know what you're up against, or once you've found enough shortcuts to feel confident, go for it.

2. Believe it or not, I actually got most of my S Ranks while going for my Red Star Rings. I watched SadFaceGaming on Youtube and ran to where they were, getting each Red Star Ring, and pausing the game when I watched to see the next RSR's location. Doing this will force you to move faster than you think your going, and take shortcuts you probably didnt know about, making your S Rank easy. (Just remember to pause between RSR's!)

I show how to get this Achievement in Green Hill Act 1, which is guaranteed if you get the "Greased Lightning" Achievement.

I recommend playing the very first act that you play in the game (Green Hill). Focus on trying to finish as fast as possible without getting hit by anything (which is also an achievement). Don't go out of your way to get rings - if you don't get hit by anything, you will have plenty of rings at the end. If you die, quit out and start again because you are going to lose your "perfect" bonus. Good luck!

at the end of a stage, you are ranked based on a combination of your ring total and ending score. (the time remaining adds to the score.) then if you clear the stage without dying you get one rank higher. so you must first do well enough to receive an A rank, and also not die, to get an S. i received my first S rank when i went for the "Join the Ranks" online achievement, however it didn't count, so it seems you must get an S on a regular level. challenges and online ranking levels (found in the title menu under Xbox Live) don't work.

To get this achievement, you must get an S rank in any level. To increase your chances of getting said rank, you can also try to not die and collect as many red rings as you can. I prefer doing this in Green Hill Zone, as it is a fairly easy level.
