its story related, it can be missed (this achievement is buggy) but it unlocks after the cutscene where tails sees both sonics which happens after you beat the first stage with both kind of sonics.

if it glitches on you then start a new save file on a different memory unit.

I don't have this achievement, but I have beaten both acts. Not sure what happened and I have no clue how to work it out. Is there anything obvious that I've missed?

This glitched on me too. I replayed the first level in act 1 and act 2 repeatedly, to no avail. The only way I got it to unlock was to start a new save file on a different memory unit. Only takes about 10 minutes to get through level one on a new save file, so it's not that bad.

This achievement glitched on me as well. It ended up being the last achievement I popped in the game.

This unlocked on my Xbox One after finishing the second level that plays in the story with Sonic.

This glitched on me too. Can confirm that at the first menu screen when the option of where to save the game appears, just choose the cloud if your actual game file is on the hard drive (or hard drive if you've saved your playthrough onto the cloud) and spend 10 or so minutes playing through the 2 acts. Unlocks after the 'you can switch your two sonics with the y button' message appears after the cutscene (also, helooooo from 2015!)

This is a Story Related Achievement and can not be missed.

To get this Achievement, you must clear Green Hill Act 1, and Act 2.

This level is the remake from the Classic Era of Sonic The Hedgehog. In this stage you can earn the following trophies:

Greased Lightning
Jump for Joy!

In this stage here are the following challenge acts available for it for both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic:

Classic Sonic (Act 1):

  1. Doppelganger Race!
  2. The Buzz Bombers' Revenge!
  3. Knuckles: Horde of Enemies
  4. Swingset Circus
  5. High Speed Challenge


Modern Sonic (Act 2):

  1. Look Out Below!
  2. Tails: Way Past Fast
  3. Doppelganger Race!
  4. Jump Rush
  5. 300% Boost Gauge Challenge
