How to unlock the Welcome to Sonic the Hedgehog achievement in Sonic Origins - Definitive Guide

All you have to do is to start Sonic The Hedgehog 1 (Classic or Anniversary, it doesn't matter) or Story Mode (since Sonic 1 is the first, the cutscene you'll see is from this game)

The achievement will be unlocked at the end of the cutscene.

Just start Sonic 1 and this will unlock on the title screen, regardless of whether you watch the opening cinematic or skip it..

Simply start up the first Sonic the Hedgehog game in either Classic or Anniversary Mode and watch the opening cutscene.
