The "classic" way to get Super Sonic is to collect 7 Chaos Emeralds in S2 or S3&K, BUT there's a way faster technique thanks to cheat codes and debug mode. This can be done in S1, S2 or S3&K
Just check this video, it'll explain everything you need to know and you'll get this achievement in less that 5 minutes :

Sonic 2 is the best bet for this one. Tested in Anniversary mode from the main game selection.
The reset trick from original hardware is coded into this new version. Simply collect 50 rings from the first Act, enter the special stage from the Star Post and collect your first Chaos Emerald.
As soon as you re enter the main zone, pause the game and select 'Restart'. The emerald is stored and the next time you enter the special stage, you will be onto the next special stage.
Rinse and repeat and once you are in possession of all 7 emeralds, collect 50 rings, hit Y and boss the rest of the game.

Start Sonic 1. On the title screen enter:
This unlocks level select. Here, you want to go to sound test and play the following sounds in order:
01, 09, 09, 01, 00, 06, 02, 03
This will unlock debug mode.
Also enter the following sounds in order:
04, 01, 02, 06
Lastly, in the level select screen, set your Max Emeralds to 07. Also be sure the character is set to 01 (so you're playing as Sonic).
Now start the game on any level. Enter debug mode by pressing . The controls are:
cycle through items
place item
exit debug
Place a couple ring containers, then exit debug. Collect the rings, then jump and press to turn into Super Sonic, unlocking this achievement.
Note that you cannot just spawn a Super Sonic container in debug mode and break it open to turn into Super Sonic and get this achievement. It'll turn you into Super Sonic but won't unlock this achievement.

This trophy can be earned in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Sonic the Hedgehog did not feature Super Sonic and Sonic CD has the Time Stones instead of Chaos Emeralds which only guarantee a Good Future and allow you to obtain the true ending as opposed to letting you turn into Super Sonic. This will require the most out of you compared to most of the trophy list since you will have to go out of your way to collect all of the Chaos Emeralds in either Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or 3. There are 7 Chaos Emeralds to be collected in either title, and you obtain a Chaos Emerald after successfully completing a Special Stage. I recommend doing this trophy in Anniversary Mode because Anniversary Mode allows you to obtain coins which you can spend to replay Special Stages if you happen to fail.
In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, you can access a Special Stage by passing through a Star Post with 50 rings then jumping into the circle of stars. You will enter a half pipe where you and Tails must collect a specific amount of rings before passing a checkpoint. Each stage consists of 3 checkpoints you must pass before you can obtain the Chaos Emerald. Be careful because there are bombs that make you or Tails drop rings if you run into them. Remember that you can also hold or to do a complete rotation around the pipe. You will need to do this eventually since some stages put rings on the top part of the pipe. You can also jump by pressing . I feel like these Special Stages are harder than Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but you have the opportunity to obtain all of the Chaos Emeralds faster since there are multiple checkpoints in an act. If you know what you are doing, you can have this trophy as early as Chemical Plant Zone or Aquatic Ruin Zone.
In Sonic the Hedgehog 3, you can access a Special Stage by finding and entering a giant ring. There are 2 giant rings in every act of the game. This means you can find all 7 Chaos Emeralds before completing Hydrocity Zone. When entering a Special Stage, you will arrive in a 3D area full of spheres. The goal is to collect all of the Blue Spheres in the area without touching a Red Sphere. Collecting a Blue Sphere will turn it into a Red Sphere. However, if there are multiple Blue Spheres grouped together, you can collect all of the ones along the outside to turn them into rings. This is a great strategy for reducing the amount of Red Spheres in the area since most of the time you will be wandering and revisiting sections while trying to find all the Blue Spheres. Remember that you can also jump by pressing .
After collecting all 7 Chaos Emeralds, you may turn into Super Sonic by collecting at least 50 rings then jumping and pressing . Super Sonic has incredibly fast speed, jumps higher, and takes no damage from enemies (though he can still die by getting squished). Being in Super Sonic form will also steadily drain your rings over time so be careful. Just turn into Super Sonic once to immediately obtain this trophy.
