How to unlock the Marble Finishes achievement in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - Definitive Guide

The 5th and 6th levels of the game are the Marble Garden Stages and they are a bit high and low, it is also very fast and sometimes tricky so just take your time. You have the advantage of a save feature that you can use to save your progress at any point in the game so if there's a section that you think you're going to die, save it and then attempt and if you fail, re-load the game save.

Simply complete these two acts to get this achievement.

How do you finish it? I am at the end but the bad guy drills the ground and my Sonic is off the screen. I can't to anything! I viewed a Youtube video and it shows Knuckles flying, carrying Sonic but that's not happening in my game!

Knuckles doesn't carry Sonic... but Tails does... you should be able to control Tails' movements as he carries Sonic and have the ability to make Sonic jump when you hit A... just try and manoeuvre around and hit Robotnik elsewhere other than his Drill or the flames at the back of his vehicle. If you fall Tails should come and pick you up again and you won't die.

That's what I saw in the video...but in my game, I never see Tails. I am just at the bottom of the screen out of view. Occasionally, I will hear Sonic jump as I hit A and the bad guy will hit me eventually. Frustrating, I started another game but still have that one on a save.

This is the 3rd Zone of the game and possibly the longest Zone at that. Getting lost is definitely a possibility but following my video below should help out with that. Also be careful around the spike smashers, they can unfairly kill you even if you are clear of them (you'll see what I mean in the video). The boss of the stage can easily be defeated if you are playing as Sonic & Tails or Just Sonic by jumping at Eggman when he passes by. But if you play as Tails alone it will be very difficult because you must fly directly under Eggman to damage him. If Eggman blasts off to the bottom of the screen, he'll attack straight upwards, if he blasts off to the top of the screen, then he'll attack downwards. Lastly if he blasts off to the left side of the screen, he'll attack to the right.
